I rarely leave bad reviews, but this hotel genuinely pushed me to the point where I felt like I had to warn other people. stayed here for 5 nights, and honestly, it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had in Tokyo especially considering the price. First of all, the location is extremely misleading. It’s advertised as being near Shinjuku, but in reality it’s over a 20-minute walk just to get anywhere useful. Maybe that sounds fine on paper, but after doing that walk multiple times a day, carrying bags, exhausted, in the heat, it becomes frustrating very quickly. If you actually want to stay conveniently in Shinjuku, this is not it. But the location wasn’t even the worst part. The cleanliness was absolutely disgusting. The second we entered the room on the first day, the dust was impossible to ignore. Not tiny amounts either I mean visible dust everywhere. The headboard above the bed had thick dust sitting on it, the carpet looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in forever, and there were visible footprints and stains around the toilet area. The whole room also had this weird stale smell that never went away pretty old furnitures. It honestly felt more like an abandoned storage room than a hotel room people are supposed to sleep in. So naturally I requested a room change. Any decent hotel would understand that request immediately. Instead, the staff acted cold and annoyed, like I was somehow being difficult for pointing out that the room was filthy. They eventually moved us, but the new room was just some dark corner room that honestly felt even more depressing than the first one. Then the outlet near the bed wasn’t working properly. I contacted reception again, and a staff member came upstairs to check it except she walked straight into the room wearing her shoes. After everything I had already experienced with the cleanliness, that irritated me even more. She plugged in her own charger head, said the outlet was “fine,” and left without actually listening to what I was explaining. The issue was clearly that my USB cable wouldn’t charge properly there, not that the outlet had zero power. Instead of understanding the problem, they just handed me an adapter and acted like the situation was solved. And then came the most ridiculous part of the whole stay. After staff had already entered my room multiple times with shoes on, they called me downstairs and told me to bring my belongings. From the way they explained it, I genuinely thought they were moving me to another room. So I packed everything up, dragged all my luggage downstairs, only to discover they literally just wanted to hand me ONE adapter. That was it. No room change. No solution. Just an adapter. I was standing there with all my bags feeling completely confused and honestly beyond irritated. Communication throughout the entire stay was exhausting. Whether it was a language barrier or simply a lack of care, I constantly felt like nobody was actually listening to what I was saying. Eventually I stopped asking for help altogether not because the problems were fixed, but because dealing with the staff became more draining than just suffering through the issues myself. Imagine paying this money just to give up complaining because you know you’ll either be ignored or misunderstood anyway. Even housekeeping barely seemed to clean the room. Multiple times I put the cleaning sign on the door, yet when I came back it barely looked touched. Towels weren’t properly changed, the bedsheets clearly stayed the same, and there were still visible marks and footprints on the floor. It honestly felt pointless. What frustrates me even more is that I’ve stayed at a Daiwa hotel in Ginza before, and the difference was unbelievable. That hotel was clean, professional, organized, and the service was genuinely good. Because of that experience, I assumed this branch would be similar. Unfortunately, this place completely ruined that impression. I would never stay here again, and I
