Sakura Apartment

We stayed here for 1 night and everything is absolutely amazing!!! Can you imagine this view is so affordable feels like your in 5 star. I regret not to book the rest of the night here we got the best view here and i dont know about the others reviews here but everything exceeds to our expectation!!! Only is the confusing here the entrance of the building always get close haha but the room and service is splendid!! We will definitely going back in a big group again!

Our first impression of this property was already disappointing, and unfortunately, things didn’t improve during our stay. A couple of days before check-in, they contacted us to get our mobile # and we were advised that we could leave our luggage at Sakura Cafe from 8:00 AM. We arrived early at around 8:30 AM after an overnight flight, only to find the cafe closed. We were told (after calling them) that they were “busy” and to come back to the cafe at 9:30 AM. If this had been communicated to us beforehand, we could have made other arrangements instead of dragging our luggage around Melbourne for an hour. We were also surprised to find that check-in was done at a cafe, with luggage left at the front area of the cafe. At 3:00 PM, when it was finally time to check in, we were then told that our actual unit was in a different building, meaning we had to roll our luggage yet again to another location. We were hoping the apartment itself would make up for the earlier inconvenience, but unfortunately, it continued to disappoint. The bed was extremely hard, and you could already feel the springs through the mattress. There was also a strange stain on the bed runner. The condition of the hangers in the wardrobe, which were meant to be used for jackets and coats, was honestly beyond words. The cabinet containing the extra blankets and pillows also had a noticeable unpleasant smell, which gave the impression that these items had not been properly washed or aired out. I was particularly looking forward to having a balcony, but that was another disappointment. It was visibly dirty and looked as though it had not been swept or cleaned for quite some time. There was also a complimentary snack corner, but the only item available was an open packet of Trolli lollies that looked like it had been sitting there for quite a while. Rather than feeling like a nice complimentary touch, it unfortunately added to the overall impression that the property lacked attention to cleanliness and presentation. The only real positive is the property’s proximity to Southern Cross Station, which is very convenient. However, there are plenty of other accommodation options within the same area, so location alone would not be enough for us to choose this property again. One important thing for future guests: please be aware that there is a $300 bond/hold taken upon check-in. Overall, this stay was well below our expectations. With better communication, cleanliness, maintenance and attention to detail, this property could be significantly improved.

Spacious two bedroom apartment. Queen mattress was not comfortable. Great location for Sky bus travellers. Nice resturants close by.

I wasn’t very happy with the shower, as the door opened the wrong way, making it impractical to get in. I had the worst night’s sleep—the bed was terrible, and the pillows were so soft I had to use the cushions underneath to try to prop them up.
