Villa Emerald: 3 Bedroom Pool Villa Near River

The bungalow that we stayed in, Villa Emerald, was a nicely designed property that connects the four main spaces via one swimming pool corridor: 1. Master Bedroom 2. Bedroom 1 3. Bedroom 2 4. Living Room All areas and rooms were designed with glass panels/sliding doors which allows every room to have an equal view of the swimming pool which we found to the fantastic and is the most endearing feature of all the villas in Charis. Having an ensuite bathroom in each room was also fantastic. You could park your car right in front of your unit which makes it feel homey. Toilet was fantastic as well, as it was spacious and nicely designed. The location was great and you're given a private access to a part of the Chemperoh River which we found to be clean, making going to the river feels exciting. There's also a pickle ball court, table tennis, fishing pond, as well as beach-football area if you prefer to play something more outdoorsy within the compounds of the villa itself. Each unit will also get its own dedicated BBQ area, though nothing impressive about the setup. Inside the villa, the hosts provided internet, air fryer, microwave, a big refrigerator, cutleries, cooking utensils, pots, pans, iron, kettle. Mattresses and bed sheets were hotel-grade. Board games are also available upon request. We felt that planning for your own food will make the most out of the experience of staying in this villa.

What we felt could've been better: 1. As the villas are meant to host about 10 pax, we felt that the kitchen sink and stove provided was not provided in the right scale as it was too small 2. For the price of RM1K+ per night, you would expect certain basics such as toothbrushed would be provided by default which we found quite odd given that it wasn't 3. As the villa is situated in the heart of the "Kampung", it's natural that ants and bugs will be within close proximity. There was a trail of ants inside our room and we felt that a guide on how to manage such situation would help and was hoping the representatives would have given us a heads up (other than the PDF guide provided).

Reasonably kept… clean.. spacious…

Limited food options

The villa is clean and spacious- good size for small family gatherings. Private too!

The internet and wifi connection need to be improved. The line is not stable.

Tombol pintu masuk tak berfungsi dengan baik, toilet bowl tidak bersih untuk ketiga tiga bilik air, wifi tak berfungsi dari sabtu pagi sehingga ahad pagi, sabun pinggan yang terlalu terhad begitu juga dengan kithen towel, terdapat juga beberapa ekor lebah berkeliaran sekitar pool, jadi perlu sedikit berhati2 utk kanak2 dan warga emas, kerana ada yang dh terpijak dan disengat.
