No ironing board and hair dryer but that is minor only

The location was good.
I wasn't informed at the time of booking that it was a student dormitory. The sheets were dirty, wasn't sure if they had been washed before checkin, there was no toilet paper, the towels were not replaced once during my 4 day stay. Also the bed was quite uncomfortable.

it was cheap and in a good location.
the people next to me were blaring rap music until around 6am, making it almost impossible to sleep. it says it has a kitchen but unless you bring your own cutlery, plates and pots etc then you can’t cook. it’s extremely grotty as well as it seems like the fridge etc almost never gets cleaned. you were supposed to be in a different area than students but they certainly acted like them.

The location is central and it's about 5mins walk to the city' s centre which makes shopping easier.
The rooms were exceptionally clean on arrival.but for my 8 nights stay I have to clean the room/kitchen myself.
The fact that I was told to clean up my room throughout the duration of my stay.
6.0 / 10.0
The room itself was good, comfy bed, storage, good bathroom. The facilities in the building were good as well.
The kitchen/cleanliness of the common areas was disgusting. Piles of rubbish bags left in the hallways and kitchen, dirt on the floors. Dirty dishes and food on the counters. I didn't use the kitchen due to it being so dirty.

Heating stops after 3hours, you need to press the thermostat on again so you end up in cold room in the morning. Did get access fob on 3rd day because mine didn’t work so had to follow students on way in other then that it’s fine nice quite atmosphere.

Room was very clean, location was good and check-in was smooth.
The room was really cold as there was a thermostat which closes the heating system automatically after 1 hour. The room was on the 8th floor and cold air flow was coming from the window edges. (It was -2 degree when I visited.) No toilet paper or soap was provided in the room. I went to the reception to ask for this around 7pm, there was no one at the reception. I bought them myself. I know that it is normally a student accommodation but these are very basic things that should be provided in the room.

Location
The room was dirty: when I arrived, the bed sheets were not ironed and full of hairs, i am not sure the sheets had been cleaned. The shower was clogged (after 2 minutes the shower basin was already full, taking more than half an hour to empty) and dirty, I found hair even on the faucet, so I doubt they cleaned it before I arrived. Very cold too, the heating was turning off after 30 minutes, so you can imagine how the nights felt like, when the outside temperature was below 0 C. These are recurring issues, I spoke with another guest and they had exactly the same problems as me (shower, heating).
The kitchen was so dirty and sticky I ended up not using it at all, when in fact i had booked this place due to this facility.

This is student accommodation and was perfect for what I needed - a comfortable bed, desk with plenty of power sockets, ensuite, and shared well-equipped kitchen. Having a fitness centre available was a bonus.
Good prompt communication from the accommodation staff.
Only one of the lifts was working which led to a lot of waiting (I was on the 10th floor). The key and fob were given me on a nice lanyard but very cheap keyring which I had to get replaced as the key kept coming off (Staff were happy to replace for me). My bed was clean but the rest of the room was not - lots of hair in the ensuite, shower drain blocked etc. (Staff responded and apologised promptly when I raised the concern about cleanliness)

Excellent location. Value for money. No frills and unnecessary amenities that travellers get charged for usually but never use.
If i had to pick something, check in process could have been better especially since I was arriving late night

This is student accommodation. I liked the fact that the kitchen was well-equipped and enjoyed the occasional chat with other guests. The staff were very helpful. The room itself is rather small but the comfortable bed made up for that. A positive surprise was the bathroom. The descriprion did not say that there was a bathroom in the apartment but there was one.
One thing I did not like was the fact that the building was next to a busy ring road, which would not have been a problem if I had not had to open the window because of the heat.

The bed was comfortable, and the room was adequate for my purpose, and it was good that kitchen equipment Inc crockery was supplied, the gym facilities were small but adequate some of the handweights and attachments for the weight machine were missing but it was still usable. I liked the fact that there was 24hour security. I was there for a total of 18 nights.
Lack of cleaning equipment for the kitchen, as a non student it would of been nice for a cleaner to at least come and do some basic housekeeping in the room and in the shared kitchen. I had to deal with food theft, couldn't store anything in the freezer provided as it wasn't working properly. Felt staff were more used to dealing with students than non students so staff at times were approachable but it was hard to translate any issues.

Excellent location! It is less than a 10 minutes walk to both the bus/coach station and the railway station, and it is handy having several restaurants and a mini mart nearby. Great to have use of a shared kitchen, including the fridge/freezer and crockery and utensils, so I could choose to either make my own meals or eat out. The room itself was clean, and the bed was super comfortable. Good value for money.
The verification process was overly complicated. I understand why it is needed (for safe-guarding the regular residents), but the website for the verification is confusing and I had to check several times with staff if it had saved the necessary scans of documents. Having to wait until the evening before for details about how to get entry to the building was a bit 'covert'. Both of these two procedures did not create the best first impression. Trying to get onto the (free) internet for the first time was also complicated.
There was no bin in either the en-suite bathroom or room. When I asked about this at the reception desk, I was told just to use the bin in the kitchen. (Incidentally, the student resident who was still in the shared apartment for my first night did not empty the kitchen bin, which was full, when they left.)
My big feedback though: given that this accommodation is featured on booking.com, you need to decide who your target market is. Is this summer accommodation for students? Or are you marketing this as a kind of summer youth hostel to the general public? Or summer accommodation for the public attending events and conferences in Coventry or the surrounding areas?
The impression that I got was that this accommodation is very much for students, and as such I was treated like an undergrad student rather than as a non-student member of the general public. As it happens, I am a (PhD) student at a different university, but since the accommodation was featured on booking.com, I was using it as a base from which to commute an hour each day by coach from Coventry to the Silverstone racing circuit for the Formula 1 weekend. If there had been a little promotion on the Silverstone websites for accommodation, you could easily have filled out several apartments-worth of guests. Ditto for any other summer festival or sporting events within about an hour's commute of Coventry, such as the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham (28 July - 8 August).
