Everything! We have stayed in about 6 properties in the area and this is by far the best.
Great lay out, extremely well equipped kitchen and cosy decor ( without being chintzy :) )
Location was perfect, 3 min walk for beach swimming, surfing and skim boarding. Fab artisan bakery and coffee shop at top of street.
Rex and Katie were super helpful and responsive to a couple of queries while we were staying. Thanks also for the deluxe welcome pack with delicious wine, milk and other goodies!
Nothing, it was all excellent.

So welcoming, comfortable more like a home than a let. It’s well and generously equipped, plenty of everything and Rex and Katie have thought of everything. There’s even a picnic set windbreak and beach towels.
We had a long journey and appreciated the tea and biscuits and or wine and crisps they had left for us.
Communication is brilliant . The book they have compiled is really informative wish we’d had time to try out some of the trips they suggested further afield. It’s a brilliant location turn right and you’re by the beach , turn left onto Milton Street and on your doorstep there are bars restaurants and a brilliant deli.
The property is clearly cared for and unlike some hosts who instruct you what not to do they phrased requests really positively.
The property is very accurately described and photographed -actually it’s bigger than we’d imagined.
We very much enjoyed our stay . It’s a great summer beach house and cosy out of season deep baths and log fires.
Thank you hope to return before too long.

It was light and airy and had absolutely everything we needed. Beds and chairs were very comfortable. Everywhere was clean. There was always hot water and the shower was excellent. The children enjoyed the bath! The kitchen was very well equipped and had plenty of plates , mugs, glasses etc. It was home from home by the sea! They even provided towels for the beach. It felt as if we were staying in a house belonging to friends who wanted to make us as comfortable as possible. There were even treats for a dog which were woofed by a canine visitor.
The welcome pack was generous and well thought out and included a bottle of wine !
I liked the small extras like an extra set of door keys. This is very rare.
This isn’t a dislike but it would have been good to have a stair gate on the landing. Our children are 8 and six and there was just a chance they might get up in the night. I think there had probably been a gate at some point. As it happened they both slept well and there was no nighttime wandering.
There was nothing to dislike about the property.

The house was spacious, with every facility required for a stress free family holiday. Location so close to the beach was a hit with our two children 7 & 9 who loved their ride in the cliff lift to the beach. There was an abundance of books and games left for them to try and we really appreciated the little hamper left for us on arrival.
It would have been helpful to have had some clothes storage in the children's bedroom.
Saltburn is lovely, quaint and small but very busy tourist area and parking is at a premium. However parking is free ( a rarity these days) We only managed to park our car in the street near our property once the six nights we were staying. Camper vans appear to be permanent fixtures taking up a lot of available spaces.

The location was great, turn right and you have beautiful beach, turn left and you have lovely independent cafes & shops.
The property was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The welcome pack was great. Rex & Katie went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay.
Nothing, everything was great.

I don't have a bad thing to say about Rex and Katie's place. It is superb: incredibly comfortable and well equipped with a fabulous location right in the town centre and minutes from the beach. Communication was second to none: on arrival, it was easy to get in using the lock box and the property is beautiful, arranged over two levels. The decor is lovely and the kitchen has everything you'll need (thank you for the lovely, thoughtful welcome package, including dog treats!!) It really ticked all our boxes. We wanted somewhere with a fabulous beach for long dog walks, but also not too remote as we like to be able to go out for a drink or to eat in the evenings. Saltburn is the perfect location for this: it's a tidy, well maintained, little Victorian seaside town which has benefitted from a certain amount of regeneration but also feels relatively 'unspoilt', and it has a really nice community feel. The lower promenade and the pier have enough in the way of traditional beach front facilities but not so much it's overwhelming or 'tacky'. There's a row of smart beach huts which are obviously well maintained. There are numerous very good independent bars and cafes in Saltburn - we loved The Guns Bar and the Pillar Box which are both very friendly with a good selection of craft beers. We also had nice Thai food from Coco & Rum. In fact there are so many great places to drink and eat we didn't have time to sample them all. There's also a really handy Sainsbury's a few minutes walk along the street. The beach is dog heaven - flat and sandy, especially amazing when the tide is out. We walked to Marske for coffee and cake, and also did a walk along the clifftop towards Skinningrove. For shorter walks, the Valley Park in Saltburn is lovely and our dog liked splashing about in the stream there. We also did a short drive to Staithes (I recommend the museum there) which is pretty.
I can't think of anything I didn't like.

The location is excellent. Easy walk to shops and restaurants.
The stairs were a bit steep for my 80 year old mum but she managed. She enjoyed the three days we were there.

Probably the best equipped holiday let we have stayed in. The welcome pack and toiletries were first class. Very comfortable bed and very helpful hosts. Would definitely recommend.
The living room floorboards were very creaky. Not a problem for us, but likely not very nice for those staying below.

This property was a last minute booking and it did not disappoint. It was one of the cleanest properties I have stayed in, the hosts were excellent and the welcome hamper was a nice touch especially as I had forgot teabags.
The location is close to everything, would definitely stay again.😊

We loved how central the property was to everything. We found the property info guide really helpful and followed their recommendations for food in the area - it was spot on!
The owners have thought of everything and this makes a real difference. The welcome basket of wine, biscuits, tea, coffee and dog treats were really appreciated and made us feel really welcomed.
It’s big but still feels charming and cosy and our dog absolutely loved sitting in the big bay window.
We would definitely return!

I loved the maisonnette so much. I loved the living room it was just gorgeous sofas huge comfy and house warm windows just done and bedrooms were gorgeous and huge bathroom. I have a firm mattress at home and the one we slept in was squishy but I still slept well lovely quilt and pretty duvet on bed. Loved the huge bathroom and stand alone roll top bath very luxurious and amazing ly well equipped kitchen including BBQ and picnic stuff to take down to beach closeby and suggestions for outings. Our daughter lives in the area so will definitely be booking again. Living room is light and airy. No garden for dogs but green just at bottom of road perfect for quick toilet walks for dogs. Maisonnette is similar close distance to beach one way and handy Sainsbury's the other so perfectly situated and loads of cafes come bars to choose from too

The location of the property was superb - a very short walk from bars and restaurants and the beach front. The house was lovely and modern and very comfortable. It was very clean - and had all the facilities you need for a stay. Wifi worked well.
The flat is on the first and second floor with quite steep shallow steps so be careful - not an issue for us but could be an issue.

The hosts left us a gift basket including a bottle of wine which was a very nice touch and the property was very well equipped and clean. Very good quiet location close to the beach and the town. Recommend the excellent Indian restaurant in Saltburn called Spices
The description stated 2 bathrooms which I specifically searched for as that was the only request our friends that we went with stipulated, so we were a bit shocked to find that one was just a toilet and sink. It should be described as one & half bath or stated clearly that only one bathroom has a bath & shower. Also the apartment is not suitable for elderly people as there are steep set of steps to both floors. Not a problem for us but would be useful for people to know.
