The Hoot Romantic Glamping

Kids absolutely loved staying in an old horse box! It was lovely and cosy, beautiful area. Perfect for a getaway.

Cleanliness could do with improving. There were so many cobwebs and dead spiders, particularly in the cupboards. I understand there's going to be spiders given the location, but these dead spiders had clearly been there a while. The shower went from hot to cold. Also it was also mentioned there would be marshmallows and tealights included in the breakfast hamper, unfortunately they were missing.

The unit was comfortable and had everything that you need for a relaxing break. Set in a meadow teaming with wildlife! The breakfast hamper was thoughtful and a lovely touch.

Breakfast was great - except three of the 6 eggs were off, downside of free range eggs I guess! Fire pit was a bonus and the star gazing amazing! Solar light around the place were very useful especially when returning from the pub in the dark. Electric heater was a bonus in the morning but caused an argument as to who was going to get up and switch it on! Wood burner was also a bonus but we didn't light it!

The accommodation was what it was - an old converted cattle truck. It was clean and in a great spot but was very tired and very cold, especially at night! The bed wasn't the best - narrow and very bouncy, a poor quality mattress. It would have been helpful in the advertising to stress it was small! The joints in the floor boards need re-corking as you could see through the joints and the wind whistled through at night. Its clearly a great idea and I'm sure has given a lot of people a lot of pleasure but it is in dire need of an up grade.
