Why not to stay out of Nice if it is also very nice
We had an amazing week at Lena’s villa! The setup was perfect for our group of three families, offering plenty of space and comfort for everyone. We stayed over Christmas, and the house provided everything we needed to make it a memorable holiday. The villa is located in the mountains, which adds to its charm but also means you’ll need a car to get there. That said, Uber is a great alternative and worked seamlessly for trips to Nice town center, costing around €20 for four people—a very reasonable price. The house itself has a unique charm. While it is a bit old and some of the furniture is dated, it feels more like staying at a friend’s warm, welcoming home than at a boutique hotel. This gave it a lovely, personal touch. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, making cooking and baking a breeze, which we really appreciated. The rooms were comfortable, and the views from the villa were absolutely breathtaking. There were plenty of cozy spots to relax and take in the scenery. One of the highlights was the electric BBQ—it worked perfectly and made our outdoor meals so enjoyable. The sitting areas, both indoors and outdoors, were very comfortable and inviting. Lastly, Lena’s responsiveness was exceptional. She quickly answered all of our questions, which made our stay stress-free and enjoyable. Overall, this villa was a fantastic choice for our holiday. The price-to-benefit ratio was spot on, and we left with wonderful memories. Highly recommended!

Dangerous Road not for the faint-hearted
As shown in the pictures, the views from the balcony and pool area are stunning during the day and at night. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped with all utensils provided. The Villa is spacious and very suited to large groups.
The most disappointing aspect of the Villa was that the road to the villa is treacherous and dangerous. On google maps, it looks as if the villa is situated nearby the village of Drap. Due to the steep, narrow, winding roads, the village is not easily accessible. We ended up staying at the villa much more than we intended as driving anywhere felt like putting your life in danger. The locals did not appreciate us driving a larger vehicle up the steep roads and we were glared at on each journey. Please also note that the driveway is also not suitable for parking at all. It is incredibly steep and trying to get your vehicle onto the road each day is extremely tedious. You are told that you will get fined if you leave your car on the road but we had no choice as parking in the driveway was not an option. The swimming pool was dirty upon arrival. The upstairs shower is small and the curtain clings to your body while you shower. The beds were uncomfortable and in need of new bed wear.

Location not close to amenities Road access was horrendous Driveway precipitous & could not contemplate driving down or up it. Villa very tired & dated Mattress very uncomfortable Shower extremely small with shower curtain clinging to your body while trying to bathe Other shower in other bathroom with no curtain nor screen so could not be used. Position of pool table was inappropriate as cue could not be used down one side due to close proximity of wall / windows Garden rather unkept & pool had dirty debris on the bottom

Grande maison pouvant accueillir notre grande famille , au calme , belle vue . Hôtes à l'écoute et réactifs. En été , cela doit être encore mieux car trés belle piscine mais trop froide pour notre période ...
La situation géographique de la maison entre Nice , Menton et Monaco est idéale mais pour accéder à la maison , trés haut étroit et sinueux ( ( mais la vue en vaut la peine ). L'accès dans la cour n'a pas pu être possible pour notre trafic car pentu +++ , du coup transfert des valises compliqué. Maison spacieuse mais vieillote : les prises font disjoncter toute l'électricité..., isolation des portes et fenêtres quasi nulle donc en février , trés juste / chaleur , heureusement que nos hôtes nous ont fait amener un radiateur d'appoint supplémentaire .
