Cae Nest Hall

The house was very spacious, with a great kitchen.

You can tell it's not been updated in a while. The grounds were a little unkept. There were little issues in the house where they have possibly tried to do things and left as is. Ie in the pool room the fire alarm is dangling from exposed wires. On one of the stairs wells there was a nail poking out.

Very spacious property with some beautiful original features for the period of the hall. Quiet location, but close enough to local village shops, pub.

The property needs some attention and repairs doing to take it from being a good place to stay, to a great place to stay. The gardens need a lot of attention. All the grass needed cutting, above knee height. Flower beds full of weeds and the slate slabbed area off the pool room not inviting to go out and use, again full of weeds. Disappointing but easy fixes. It would be helpful to have a sign at the end of the driveway so you know where to go. The approach road from the village is very narrow and once you go past the driveway you cannot turn around and go back.

It was a very big and spacious house with a large kitchen. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of clean plates, utensils, and cooking equipment. There was plenty of space for everyone, which made it very comfortable for a large group. The house was generally clean and well organised.

Unfortunately, Room 1 was completely unusable for two reasons. Firstly, there was no light in the bathroom because the pull-cord was broken. We informed the house owner/contact number about this, but it was not repaired during our stay. Secondly, the bed was not safe to use because the middle plank/support was broken. As a result, we were unable to use the bed at all. It was particularly disappointing because we had reported these issues, but they were not resolved during our stay.
