On arrival there was a warm welcome and the gentleman was chatty towards my granddaughter asking where we were going and providing tips to make the trip better. The lady at breakfast was friendly and helpful. The hotel had character and was beautifully decorated to match its heritage

Very nice building good location, staff very friendly and helpful as noted in other reviews saying things could do with a re-Ferb but for the money you are paying this is excellent value and it is very very dog friendly the breakfast and evening meal we had were excellent
No baked beans with the breakfast ;)

The food was very good both evening meal & breakfast
The toilet in the suite was not working. The velux window didn’t have a blind.
The shower in the king room was no more than a telephone box 😒
