The position of the hotel was excellent with a super view over the Menai Straits from our bedroom window. We were staying in the Lodge which was very nice , room rather small but very nice bathroom. We ate in the hotel two nights and the food was very nice. Staff extremely pleasant and very helpful, altogether a very nice stay.
Room slightly small and the wardrobe was a tallboy so clothes dragged on floor...only a minor dislike.

Stunning and unique hotel - highly recommend the Snowdonia suite with its little nook and incredible views. Leave time to wander the various public rooms with antique furniture and the gardens as well.
Obviously it’s pricey. Restaurant was nice but they might be better focusing on pulling off classics rather than not quite pulling off more elaborate dishes. Still a wonderful stay and we will come again.

Excellent Welsh breakfast - home made hash browns and black pudding.
The Turret Room had an amazing shower room - in the turret itself. High quality bathroom products.
Beautiful views from the lounges.
Friendly bar staff and breakfast staff
Beautiful historical rooms and interesting objects
The gardens are run down and need attention.
The room had peeling paint and water stains on the ceiling.
A worrying three star food hygiene certificate!
Cigarette tabs and litter all over the place.
