Braelea

Margaret was a fantastic host, the breakfast was delicious and nothing was too much trouble, if I went back, I would try to stay here again, but it is always so busy, which as it was such a nice welcoming place, I can understand why it is always full, also a big shout out to Bonnie the dog :-)

Excellent location for our short stay. Room size and facilities were ideal for our needs. Plenty of eating establishments nearby. Margaret was lovely and most helpful. Thoroughly recommended.

We stayed at Braelea B&B for two nights while visiting Scotland to climb Ben Nevis, and we honestly couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. From the moment we arrived, Margaret made us feel so welcome. She is such a warm, friendly host and genuinely couldn’t do enough for us throughout our stay. The house itself is absolutely beautiful, and everywhere was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and incredibly well looked after. Our room was immaculate, with a really comfortable bed, and we both slept so well on both nights after long days of exploring. As we were setting off very early on our Ben Nevis climb, we unfortunately had to miss breakfast on our first morning. Margaret very kindly prepared us both a packed lunch to take with us, which was such a thoughtful gesture. It was absolutely lovely and exactly what we needed after the long climb, we really appreciated the extra effort. Nothing was too much trouble, and Margaret made sure we had everything we needed from start to finish. Her kindness and hospitality made our trip even more special, and by the time we left, we genuinely didn’t want to go! We will definitely be staying at Braelea again on our next trip to Scotland and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, comfortable place to stay with an exceptional host. All the basics done very well. Margaret was delightful and really easy to talk to. Her breakfasts met our expectations.

The TV could have been mounted on a swivel to make viewing a little easier.
