I stayed at Sae Sae for 4 nights and I absolutely loved it. It’s a quiet, clean place with an incredibly comfortable bed. The breakfast was delicious, and the host family is the kindest I met in Bali. One rainy day they invited me to make offerings for the new moon, and it was such a beautiful experience. The owner gave me fruit and cookies as a gift, she’s truly so kind. The location is good, just a few minutes from the center, and you can rent a scooter there for a good price. Promise, you won’t regret it. Everything was perfect. I’ll definitely come back 💛 Thank you for hosting me.

Best homestay I have stayed in. The manager was extremely helpful, the place was super comfortable and clean. Thought and detail was put into it. The breakfast was also great. It’s located super central yet perfectly quiet. I’m staying here next time for sure.

All good friendly owners/staff and cool location in a quiet side road

I liked that they cleaned my room (wiped the floor) and gave me a fresh towel. I liked that there is a table in the room, and it's all just well planned and build properly, clean and neat and tidy. Breakfast was decent and they even cut the fruit for one (very fancy). No mold, clean sheets, decent view and a small balcony (I asked for a room on the 1st (elevated) floor), not sure how I would have liked ground floor tbh.

A monkey (due to proximity to Monkey Forest) stole my breakfast once and my medicine another time (I left the window open). So watch out, monkey might be coming for ya

I’d recommend Saesae to those who are on holiday and to those for whom cleanliness is the top priority. I wouldn’t recom

The location is great, the staff is great, the banana pancake breakfast is wonderful, the cleanness of the place is impeccable. No mold, everything is fresh, no dust, the smell is good. However, there were two problems that made my stay worse. On the first day I woke up with the sound of construction work right next door to my room. I think that the owners should warn the guests who are going to stay next to the construction works about that. I was very nervous the whole morning, until a new room a little bit farther away from the construction works was found for me. The most important issue was that there was no WiFi. I checked the speed on the first night, it was around 1 -2, which is close to no internet at all. So, I had to cancel 3 video calls which affected me financially. I understand when the internet is not perfect, but when it’s that bad, I’m just wondering, why it can’t be fixed when it can be so easily done.

Perfect location and amazing hospitality!

After staying in different hostels I wanted some privacy and rest a bit, it was a perfect choice! It is a beautiful and authentic place so dont expect luxury. The owners are super friendly and helpful! The room was perfect for me. Thank you so much and I wish you all the best. Definitely coming back

Good location

Very nice family, great location and good breakfast.

One morning I woke up by birds flying in from the ceiling inside (on the topfloor the ceiling was somehow open) but they let me change room. So many small ants in the room, they also came up in the bed and the room only had a fan which made it very hot and difficult to sleep.

Everything was just perfect. The location was convenient, 10 min walk from the center of Ubud and a few minutes to the monkey forest. Super clean! The breakfast was delicious, I recommend the pancakes! The staff was so freindly and helpful, we rented a scooter for a very good price. 10/10 recommend!

Perfect location in the center of Ubud. Very clean and spacious room, comfy bed, good pressure hot shower. Sai and Wayan are very warm hosts, who go extra mile to make sure you have everything you need. They serve delicious breakfast in your room, also hot water (kettle in the room) and drinking water unlimited are provided, along with complimentary Coffee and Tea. Amazing stay! I’ll come back!

Hidden gem

Only stayed one night as had transfer to Lombok but was very impressed with the room. Modern, clean and bright and a super comfy bed. Wayan was so helpful and friendly. Wish I could have stayed longer but will definitely stay again if I return to Ubud.

We had an incredible stay here and honestly can’t think of a bad word to say! The hosts were brilliant, really friendly and made us feel very welcome the whole time. The included breakfast was delicious and the lovely lady who made it was so accommodating to our needs (even made us breakfast at 6am on the day we left!). The room was spacious and spotless with an excellent bathroom and shower. Cannot recommend Sae Sae enough!

Quiet backstreet stay in Ubud. Would go back anytime.

Very quiet homestay, a bit away from the main road which is a good thing in Ubud. No airco in our rooms but the fans did the job. It was not too hot at all. Very nice breakfast (pancakes and fruit) and most wonderful people. I'm not a dog person, but even I absolutely loved the very funny dog (bonbon) they have. He's not annoying, not asking for attention but too funny to look at.

Everything was perfect. I have a bit of OCD and Sae Sae home stay have a high cleaning standard. The bed was extremely comfortable and also the pillow. It was super quiet to be very near the centre of Ubud. Staff were amazing

Warm, Friendly Homestay. Love it!

The cleaning inside and outside of the room is very tidy and warm. It feels like your own little home. The furniture in the room makes it very convenient to store items. The homestay is very close to the lively main street, just three-minute walk. The couple at the homestay are very kind and friendly, and the breakfast is very delicious, it's worth it!

Family-owned homestay in the heart of Ubud

Such a cute little Homestay right in the Centre of Ubud! It’s located right in between the Ubud temple, Saraswati temple, the art market and the monkey forest. Everything is within walking distance and if not, the Homestay offers a custom taxi service, too. Laundry is doable for 20k/kg. Breakfast was amazing, just perfect to start your day. Also bonus points for the pug, Bombon, who loves a good head scratch but won’t bother you anyhow.

Only minus, the rooms got no AC - but a ceiling fan, so night sleep is no issue!

Best hostel in Ubud

One of the best home stay I have ever been. Rooms are new and bright, and the bed is big and super comfortable. I have never seen a bathroom this cleaned! You have also hot water for shower if you want. The breakfast is delicious, pancakes or eggs and a bit plate of fresh fruits. Last but not least, the family host is lovely, always smiling and they help you with everything you need. Would have stayed here forever!

The main door are a bit difficult to lock and are made of glass, which didn’t feel safe, especially as those are basically next to the bed.
