A frustrating and poorly managed stay that fell far short of what was promised

The location was peaceful and relaxing.

The complex is simply not suitable for families with toddlers. There’s no proper path for strollers or luggage — the only option is to carry everything by hand up multiple flights of stairs. Facilities were underwhelming: the bathroom lamp didn’t work, the mattress was of poor quality and uncomfortable for the price paid, and the kitchen lacked a proper oven. Service was the biggest letdown (with the sole exception of the owner, who genuinely tried to assist). On arrival, the baby cot we had arranged was missing, and it took over three hours to resolve. The person managing day-to-day operations was absent — no greeting in person, just last-minute phone instructions to find the apartment. Cleaning was below average; it felt like a favor rather than a service, with rubbish taken out and clean towels provided only twice in seven days. Messages to the manager were often delayed or ignored entirely. Check-out is an unreasonable 10:00 a.m., while check-in is 3:00 p.m., a clear imbalance serving the business rather than the guest. The most disappointing moment came on our last day: we politely requested a late check-out due to an afternoon flight and having a small child, but our message was ignored until the cleaner knocked at our door. Only after contacting the owner did anything get resolved — the manager’s unprofessionalism and unwillingness to help were glaring. Overall, this was not good value for money, and the experience left us feeling unwelcome. To make matters worse, there even appeared to be an attempt to bypass formal booking procedures. Disappointing from start to finish.

Shady cool spot in hot weather to enjoy Split!

The location is lovely with all you need to relax. The stairs to the ocean and walk along the seaside has cafes either direction. Beautiful maintained gardens to look out on. The staff were very helpful and friendly assisting us with local area information.

Comfortable apartment with good location

The apartment is really nice, it has everything you need for a comfortable vacation. We also really liked that we had our own balcony. The location is almost unbeatable with nice view and outside area to sit. To the beach you have to walk 5 flights of stairs but for us this wasn't an issue.

The pillows could be better. Also there could be one or two pillows on the sofa. The tv is also quite small. We had luck with the parking - when we came there was only one spot left. I can imagine that in high season there maybe isnt enough parking space.

Beautiful apartments in Podstrana

The pictures looked to good to be true - but the reality didn’t disappoint. The property is located right next to the Le Meridien in Podstrana, which means you benefit from the well maintained beach and high class restaurants in the area. Right next to the ocean there’s a common area beautifully embedded in a pine tree setting, offering pristine views of the split bay and the island of Brac. The even had a barbecue on the upper platform & provided charcoal for it. The apartment itself was small but perfect for a vacation with a very modern touch to it - which is rare for apartments in Croatia. Service was exceptional and the staff always reacted really quickly.

No major downsides. Only some small details were missing which could further enhance the experience, e.g. - some more possibilities to hang clothes at the entrance - some basics like oil/ tea / coffe - some cleaning tools - some mosquito protection nets in the sleeping room

Apartment was worth it . The view of sea was really good from apartment but unfortunately the weather was bad during our stay there.

Everything was good but little bit far from center. Bus 🚌 come in every half hour and if you book uber and bolt, the driver will not accept you cz they mostly come from old town.

During our 2-week vacation, we received 4 toilet rolls, minimal change of sheets and towels. The room was never cleaned, and there were no cleaning supplies in the room. The dust and trash were not emptied. When promised to come, they came about 12 hours later. When we asked for the sheets (all linen) to be changed, they forgot about the sheets. WiFi would have only worked in the room through personal logins. Traffic jams :( Strange messaging from the owner about a price reduction if we cancel an already paid reservation on booking.com?

Suburban Split flat

Pictures made place look gorgeous /private but it’s more of a complex of vacation flats owned by same company. Mostly quiet though I would imagine in summer could get loud. Terrace was nice, bed comfortable, lots of towels and soap. Nice to have a coffee pot. close to split (25 min 2.50 euro bus-would only recommend public transport to split as driving has horrible traffic) and offering good ferry access and close to a boardwalk so can walk along oceanfront. Some good sunset views.

We booked in advance but property didn’t seem ready for us (gave us wrong apt number and no key on arrival so check in took 30-45 minutes) parking challenging. Kitchen lacking basic items like dish soap, a skillet, salt/oil, or coffee grounds. Netflix was supposedly broken (didn’t bother me ad I don’t watch TV on vacation) and host said they would come next day and msg us but when we returned at 19:30 they were in room (no msg sent) trying to fix it. We were scheduled to leave the next day and I would have preferred the host to both msg and wait until we were gone to fix it. It felt intrusive on a place that already began with a not great impression.

Great location, quiet and very peaceful. Lovely area at the back of the apartment under the pine trees to sit and relax- just as in the photos. Beds very comfy and very clean. Host was great - very welcoming and helpful.

Great location! Approx 20min by car to Split Old town, bus stop about 200m from the apartment. Beautiful view, quiet neighborhood with a small beach right below the apartment with very few people in all week. Close to several beach bars and restaurants. Small grocery store nearby. Easy check-in, clean apartment with several towels, big shower, comfy queen-sized bed (2 singles), and everything else you'll need for a great stay. Didn't use the kitchenette to cook, but it looked like it had everything you'll need for cooking. Cozy balcony where you can enjoy the amazing view. Very helpful owner who also gave us several recommendations for different types of restaurants in the area and downtown. Would recommend this place to anyone, families, couples, or people traveling by themselves.

Have nothing negative to say about this apartment other than connecting the beds would be a massive plus for couples.

So amazing, glad we were able to stay here

The property was in a great location, it was really beautiful and had amazing views. Everything was very clean and well kept. The host Ratko was really nice, super helpful, gave us lots of great recommendations and made sure we had best time whilst we were there. Will definitely come back to stay in the future!

It was a really pleasant experience.

The property is in a superb quiet location surrounded by pine trees. The see is immediately below and can be reached via steps. The beach has a lot of natural shade from the trees. There are coastal walks in both directions as well as cafes and restaurants. The host is very friendly and is happy to respond to your needs. I recommend this studio and wouldn't hesitate to rent it again.

Everything about this place was perfect. Apartment was clean white as I love. The host and his wife Ivana, were amazing! Helped me with everything I needed. Very organized, sent me videos when I was coming so I don't miss the entrance. Very helpful and invited me to join them for their gathering dinner. Thank you so much and hope to be there again.

Wonderful views of the Adriatic. The garden is idyllic and the direct access to the beach is great. The accommodation is in an unbeatable location. Ratko hosted us very nicely and everything was easy with him.
