The hosts were so friendly and the room was just exactly what we needed. One room upstairs with a shared bathroom (shared with hosts) but its the cleanest bathroom ever

The location of the property was ideal with easy access to local amenities such as the train station and airport. Beach was not very far either. Good restaurants and pubs nearby too. The property was very comfortable and the hosts were very hospitable and welcoming.

Well presented, clean home.

The accommodation was well presented and clean with comfortable beds, the hosts were welcoming and friendly.

The smell, I'm assuming, fabric conditioner and fragrance sticks, was a little overpowering in a small room, and we were unable to open the window as it was an attic room and the weather was horrific. The shower room, shared with the hosts, was very personalised, including many shower and hair products all round the shower base, which would have made us uncomfortable using, and not having a plug in the sink, made it awkward to wash properly. Again, the room was extremely clean but so heavily full with personal items it made us feel we were encroaching on their space.

Good value for money for a basic room to sleep in, with no frills.

Very clean modern attic room with skylight , nicely decorated, in a well-tended charming home with rose garden at back. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Quiet residential street.

Did not expect to have to share bathroom with the hosts who slept in an adjoining room. No coffee or tea making facilities in room, would be nice for guest comfort. No television provided in room. Quite a long walk to Prestwick Beach.

Highly recommend

Absolutely spotlessly clean and tidy cottage, received such a warm, friendly welcome from Linda on arrival, were offered the use of the lounge to relax and watch TV, also able to use the kitchen for tea/coffee and biscuits! Linda was the perfect host, she told us how to get to the restaurants and pubs, which were a very short walk away. We were only there for one night to be near airport for early flight but would love to return for a short stay at some point soon.

Rose cottage Prestwick

Linda and Lindsay were great hosts a delightful couple, couldn't do enough for us. They allowed us use of their kitchen to make coffee/tea and put the TV on in the lounge for us to watch. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the toilet right next door. Very reasonable in price too! They do have another room with no stairs if that is better for those less able. We found everything just lovely.

Hosts very welcoming, was exceptionally clean, and nothing was too much trouble. Could use facilities in their kitchen which was great as we were leaving at 4 in the morning and were able to have tea and toast before we left. Not something that is available if you book larger inns or lodges.

Everything to like and nothing to dislike. Yes you have to share a bathroom but this was not a problem for us as we were there for one night only.

Airport overnight stay

Location was excellent and both Linda and her husband made me feel so welcome ..called me a taxi to the airport. Nothing was too much trouble.

There wasn'tmuch to dislike ..the only point I would deduct is no en suite..however I had the garden room which had it's own bathroom just outside the bedroom door.

The location could hardly be better; a short drive from Glasgow &, if you are flying, Rose Cottage is close to the airport. It is nice that it is close to the main street & the seafront. A perfect launchpad from which to explore the wonderful Ayrshire coast.
