A lovely hotel with an amazing host in and excellent location
The host was amazing , she gave us excellent suggestions on events , things to do and local places to eat and drink . the breakfast was also excellent and varied The location is great away from the majority of the tourists but close enough so you came visit all the main attractions

Beautiful B&B in a chilled area of Rio
Beautiful B&B with friendly hosts and vibrant artwork on the walls. The breakfasts were fantastic - I particularly liked the freshly made guava juice. Santa Teresa is a calmer area of Rio and Dacia had good recommendations for sites, bars, and restaurants within walking distance. I enjoyed a little dip in the pool and we borrowed yoga mats one morning. We also had the pleasure of hearing beautifully played piano a few mornings.
It is about a 20 minute walk to the metro (which was a lot in the heat) and it was a bit trickier to get an uber up to us

Would stay there again
The guesthouse is well located, a few minutes walk from the heart of Santa Teresa, and yet quiet and peaceful. Great attention to guests and delicious breakfasts. The room itself is quite basic, but functional. I would stay there again.

Superb authentic hotel with excellent vibe.
Excellent safe area. Authentic Brazilian decor and very private and secure. Loved the colourful room and we greatly enjoyed sitting upstairs for breakfast and just relaxing. Dacia and her mum were super friendly and helpful particularly as we only speak English. They helped us arrange numerous trips and taxi rides. Great knowledge of the attractions we needed to see which made our Rio trip very easy.

Everything was perfect! Dacia and her family make you feel at home and the food is amazing! The view is also incredible! I have nothing bad to say about our stay in that B&B!

Wonderful place with wonderful hosts in a great area. Highly recommended.
Lovely place in a really cool area. Delicious home-cooked breakfasts (a different cooked dish each day, plus fresh juice, fruit and cake, checked with us each night/morning). Extremely helpful host, full of recommendations and ideas for our activities, meals out, etc. Also adjusted the bed-topper at our request (firm or soft).
The only thing - and it's not in anyone's control - is that there was a dog nearby who barked a lot on some nights. Bring earplugs and all will be well! Also be aware that there are two flights of steps up from the street to the common area (breakfast & pool) & two of the rooms - not a problem for us, but just be aware if it might be an issue for you.
