Flat 2 Chestergate

Great location. Nice sized lounge overlooking Chestergate. Kitchen was nice sized with all nearly all the provisions, though more than one baking tray would be good there was a cake pan we could also adopt as a baking tray. Good washing machine with drying capability. Decent shower. We liked that the bedroom was ensuite. Not the best lighting in the lounge but there was a desk lamp we could move so my partner could do make up. Couldn't turn each side of the bedside lights on separately, both or nothing, but that was OK. TBH none of that mattered as the location is so good, it's such a nice town to stay in and the lounge being a good size so my partner had space to practice her dance performance for MaccPride was all we needed to be happy with it really.

Didn't know there were going to be so many stairs, especially outside, and with my partner being blind she found it a struggle but once inside it was fine. The walls are very thin and someone staying in the downstairs flat for the first half of the week was very loud. We said nothing about this so were surprised when he also decided to become a problem, upon hearing my partner enter the shower I heard him shout "They're in the F-ing shower!" followed by her screams as the water alternatively switched from scalding to icy and back many times. Contacted Sunny the owner but were surprised that we were instead accused of not reading the shower control signs right. Shower had been fine the previous days so we had read them fine. My partner was afraid to use the shower again afterwards, however the shower was fine one the last day when the person had clearly left (we could tell as it became quiet). No one can help it if people like that book in and then cause trouble but it did feel like the blame was being turned back upon us unfairly.

Staff turned up to meet us early and let us leave bags .Sunny could not do enough for us. Picture on website is exactly what you get with a big bedroom/shower bathroom. Place was lovely and clean location was in Central of town

Steps upto flat could be issue if mobility issues so you would need to ask for bottom floor

Exceptionally Clean, cosy, had all the facilities and more. Clearly a lot of thought went into this place which is also right next to eateries / bars / cash machine
