Great base for our wedding weekend in Antwerp
Great location, just a 15-minute drive from downtown. We were in.Antwerp for a wedding g in Schoten, which was also 15 minutes away. In an everyday street with free parking (though the street gets crowded with cars and vans on Sunday). There is a neighbourhood bar straight across the street but no noise. Easy access from the key box. The house is spacious and even has a garden. We used five of the six beds (not the top bunk!), which are comfortable, and all the rooms are spacious. The bathroom has two sinks, and the shower is effective and water hot and plentiful. Downstairs there is a large dining table and good-sized TV on which we could sign I to our streaming services. WiFi was fine. Overall, the house worked very well for our family of five adults who were out for the much of the weekend.
The furnishings are minimalist and the decor almost non-existant. Another armchair or two would be great. The house would really benefit from a little refurbishment. While we were there, there was a major leak from one of the bedroom walls, probably because of a roof leak (it happened after torrential rains and the wall looked very damp). The owners were very responsive and apologetic but were unable to get a plumber there as it was a Sunday. As it didn't rain again, there was little inconvenience for us apart from a few wet shoes. The downstairs toilet was also not flushing properly. So, all in all, the property needs a bit of work to be really nice. But it is consequently a cost-effective stay if you aren't going to spend much awake time at the house.

Goede ligging, goede matrassen. Vriendelijke eigenaren, heel welwillend.
Het was kaal, ongezellig. Geen tv kanalen. Groot licht in gang ging continue aan en uit. Gebruikte doekjes en afwasborstels, grauwe handdoeken. Gepoetst maar niet geheel schoon.
