Perfect weekend away 😃

I liked how cosy and warm the room felt as well as all the extras provided e.g soap, washing up liquid, fresh milk, biscuits etc. I think the room was clean and tidy and the location was great as not too far a walk from the beach.

The parking situation could have been better - being able to park and leave the car closer to the room instead of having to move it once we have loaded and unloaded our belongings. It could do with better signage from the car park as it's not completely obvious which one is the jolly lodge when you get there. The grouting in the bathroom was quite mouldy and could do with a deep clean.

A total surprise. FAB!

This place is …..fab- ! Polly and Joey are great hosts and really lovely . The accommodation is modern , tasteful and perfect . We loved staying there . We visited Lyme Regis of course but also walked up Golden Cap , visited Charmouth ( brilliant) and went to Seaton and Axmouth . A great base to do this . 100 pc recommended.

Everything 💝. It was situated perfect. The views from our lodge were absolutely stunning. It was very clean. Warm. Well designed. Bedding and towels smelled good and were beautifully soft. We watched the big array of birds feeding in the trees as well as a squirrel that came to say hello. It was my birthday treat from my husband and we thoroughly loved it. We ate out at the Rock point pub at bottom of the hill( sea food platter for 2 was amazing) they also did a great breakfast. Buy one other half price. Loved everything about the ‘Jolly Lodge’. Didn’t need for anything. Only a bit of sun so we could have sat on the balcony. But hey. Great British weather. And it was beginning of February 💝💝💝💝 it was still perfect.

Friendly owners and beautiful lodge

Amazing location, very close to the centre. The lodge was very clean and well decorated. It had everything you needed. We went just after Christmas and it was decorated with a little tree. The hob broke during our stay but polly and joey were so helpful and quick to sort it and even offered to buy us a takeaway.

The mattress was a little uncomfortable but nothing too major.

Great location just a short walk down to the sea. Very comfortable and cosy with everything you could need, even a coffee machine for us coffee snobs 😂 Really nice fluffy towels and wonderful walk in shower. Comfy bed too , could sit up and see the sea without getting out.

Wouldn’t say dislike but needed a microwave for my morning porridge The induction hob took some getting used to and could only get the frying pan to work on it. ( I fried my porridge) 😂

Only small things but walk in shower could be a bit slippy underfoot . There was a sticky mat but we didn’t find that till the last day. The lodge is at the top of quite a long, steep hill . Good for getting the steps in however.

The sea views! The cheerful flowers on the decking. The lodge was well equipped for a short break and good communication from Polly.

Lovely little Lodge for a short break

A really lovely little Lodge with a great view and only a short walk to the town centre. Perfect for a couple wanting a short break with onsite parking included.

The walk from town to the lodge is all uphill, but a bus service was available. The lodge was clean but we did find the odd cobweb.

Enjoyable stay.

Lovely location on the hill above Lyme bay, a 10 minute walk into Lyme Regis (a bit longer coming back as it's uphill) Jolly Lodge is cozy and comfortable with everything you need for a short break away. With the added bonus of a parking space.

Great location. Self Catering.

Location. Free parking. Even though half way down a hill it was only a 10 minute walk into the heart of Lyme Regis and the walk back was not too arduous and we are in our 60s. Self catering with lovely kitchen and decent size fridge and good cooking facilities. A nice table and comfortable stools to eat from. TV had great choice of Netflix, Itv3 viewing platforms too. The shower was lovely and plenty of hot water. Veranda was a nice touch with reclining sun loungers.

We booked the chalet on the basis of the photos provided and while we fully appreciate that exteriors of buildings weather, on arrival our expectations were one of disappointment. This also applied to the photo of the two TV chairs that in reality is a very uncomfortable and tiny settee (the bottom cushions have all sagged). The interior is starting to look tired. The bed mattress is very uncomfortable and does not lend itself to a restful stay. Because of this we sadly left a day earlier then planned.

Return visit so enough said but seeing as you ask: Super elevated location with sea views. Compact self catering cabin, well equipped but who needs a kitchen with the wonderful range of restaurants, cafés and pubs in town? 15 minute walk into town. Comfortable and clean. The vast quantity of plastic plants are gone! Just four. Easy on site parking.

Fabulous Lodge

The Lodge was amazing! everything has been well thought out & had everything you needed. I’ve been to Lyme Regis many times with my husband because it’s such a lovely place. This time I’ve come with my friend as we wanted to walk the coastal paths! Seatown-Golden Cap-Charmouth (stunning)also Seaton-Beer-Branscombe(unspoilt) well worth a visit. The Lodge has a lovely outdoor area, we had breakfast outside in the sun & enjoyed the sun in the comfy chairs in the afternoon. Fantastic location & amazing views!

Perfect little hideaway for a short stay with great sea view.

Fantastic sea view. Short walk into Lyme Regis. Reading some other reviews I was worried about the uphill walk back - but it was fine (we're a reasonably active couple in our late 60's ) . Property though compact was well designed and had everything we needed - including most welcome milk, tea and biscuits on arrival. It was cosy and comfortable which was nice as the weather wasn't great - especially on our second full day. The well equipped little kitchen was perfect for our three night stay. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Arrival instructions and hob usage instructions were clear and easy to follow.

Short walking distance from the beach and a dedicated parking space. Breakfast cereal and milk was provided. Great board game selection. Very clean and comfy bed. Great view of the sea.

WiFi was pretty poor, but had great phone service so I could use my mobile data fine. Walk to the beach is down a quite steep hill, so coming back is quite the workout.

The distance to the town is quite manageable but we did not appreciate the steepness of the hill at the time of booking. Road noise was significant. The lodge became quite warm due to the sunshine through the large windows, opening the door helped, but then again there was the road noise. We found the bed too soft and quite small. Facilities were good, with quite a few extras that were appreciated.
