Helen is always lovely, we have stayed several times and have booked to go again!

Lovely property.

We had the use of an annexe on the side of the family home. It was very clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities as well as a couple of snacks. Crockery, cutlery, a fridge and a microwave encouraged you to bring food and eat it in the room for which we were very grateful! Washing up bowl and liquid was available to clean our dishes. No breakfast was offered but we were aware of this before we booked and there were some suggestions for where to get breakfast. Hawarden Estate farm shop was wonderful! Room was spacious and we had a wonderful night's sleep. We didn't see our host in person but she was very helpful with details on how to find the property and what to do when we got there. She also told us she was on hand if we needed her.

A tea towel to dry our dishes would have been a welcome addition - we used a towel from the bathroom. Lovely big kettle but it was difficult to fill from the small bathroom sink - maybe a small jug would be a good idea? A small coffee table would be a good addition for eating etc. but wouldn't be overpowering in the lovely room.

A definate must stay for a comfortable night

Great use of space, spacious enough for two people (only two persons stayed, not sure what it would be like with 4). Owners very helpful and approachable. Quiet space, well accommodated. Both sofa bed and bed comfortable, lovely decor, someone was a musician or loves music....

Provisions for 'washing up' limited, a guide of some sort to use shower would be helpful.... water either very hot or very cold....so I feel, from all the places I have sty, 'how to use the shower would have helped .... as not all understand how some things work without prompts.... This isn't negative of our stay... which, should we need somewhere close to Chester again we would certainly stay/book again without hesitation, just purely observations.

we were self catering it was very private and easy to get into chester and surrounding area. Helen was very helpful and I would certainly go back in the future

Spacious and Comfortable Stay

The accommodation was much more spacious than I imagined so that was great. It was comfortable and clean. Check in and out was super easy.

Perhaps a little expensive but I think something must have been on the weekend we booked because lots of places seemed to be booked out. There was nothing I didn't like about the stay or accommodation.

Bed was very uncomfortable,you have to either lie in the middle of it or you were falling off the edge . 😞, woke up with totally stiff neck , pillows had no give in them although only used one to try to sleep .

Second stay as is ideal for what was needed.

It was a room with facilities to cook and eat meals if required but I did not use them. It was exactly as needed somewhere to sleep & recuperate before going to a nearby venue for music on the Friday night & Saturday afternoon through to midnight.

Cosy warm accommodation

Very friendly lady who was a message away if needed. It was a lovely and warm accommodation and shower was hot for all three of us, exactly what we needed to warm our son up who had played football in the rain most of the day. Wi-Fi and phone signal was excellent allowing me to do some work. Close to a retail park where we went for food. Would recommend.

Always a pleasure and relaxing time at this regular venue for me after 3hr journey.

As usual, top knotch room and facilities from the superb hosts. Room has also been upgraded, from original sofa-bed to full divan and then sofa as well. Much more like a studio-flat rather than an ordinary room.

Nothing as such. Perhaps put extensions / usb plugs near bedside lamps, as not possible to charge up mobile or laptop if using in bed etc...Have these in own house now and are great for children or working.

The bed is a sofa bed which was perfectly adequate. A larger proper bed would lift the room to a new level. However it was fine as it was and I would certainly be happy to return.
