A Beautiful quiet spot with comfort away from town.

Location, travelling by was perfect. Host welcomed us at the door and lovely on such short notice. We were walked to our room and had a nice chat then left to ourselves and could see the stars through the ceiling window as we fell asleep. Very comfortable feeling.

That we had to leave quick and didn’t get to say bye and thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Bed was really comfy & room was lovely & clean.

Breakfast was pasteries from lidl. No low fat milk & only white bread for toast + no sugar free jams. I'm insulin dependent doabetic, so had no Breakfast or tea. & had to look for a cafe as soon as I left,to eat something. Absolutely no contact with the owner. I rang the doorbell twice but got no answere

It was great

I have stayed at this B & B before and the reason why booked it again. The room is beautifully decorated and spacious. The bathroom is spacious and the shower is great. The bed is is comfortable. I like the idea that there is a separate kitchen area where you can prepare dinner if you decide not to go out to the local chipper. Breakfast is lovely with a variety to choose from.

A relaxing and beautiful location

The accommodation was very clean and well equipped. The host was very relaxed and friendly and actually gave me some local insight about the lakes that ended up making my trip fantastic, so I am very grateful. The south facing views were sunny, the house was quiet, and it was all very well maintained. I was very happy with my trip. Myself and my partner enjoyed the kitchen facilities and how accommodating the host was. We will definitely return to Lir Lodge.

The location of the property was good. Very quiet and peaceful. The room was great, kitchen another facilities were good as well.

Dublin to Sligo Stopoever Alternative

The setting was very nice, with close to all the attractions of the Mullingar area but in the countryside. The host's husband, who was filling in while she attended to family matters, was very friendly and even gave us a tour of his hurling stick manufacturing and shop. It's a gated yard, so it felt very secure, and the breakfast area had everything you needed for a little snack or a good start to the day!

The room we were in had slanted ceilings towards the sides, so as a 6'3" person, I bumped my head once or twice. It did not detract from the visit as we were there to sleep, shower, and reset for the next day of travel

The owners were very friendly and extremely kind in meeting all our needs and requests. The place was new, spotless, tidy, well organized, comfortable and simply beautiful. We could use the kitchen, including oven, fridge and dishwasher, and our son could play on the huge lawn. We felt like at home

Everything about our stay was exceptional.Brigetta ,our host was so welcoming and friendly.we immediately felt at home .the rooms were furnished to high standard,kitchen and dining area so cosy ,clean and accessible. Amazing Lir Lodge

Absolutely amazing , we travelled up for a wedding and although I had asked to check in early and was accommodated with no hesitation, we ended up being very late, which was no issue whatsoever, Brigette even offered to meet us to get keys to us which was over and beyond, the rooms are fantastic and comfortable, Absolutely spotless, and when i say breakfast was outstanding its an understatement. Such an amazing bed and breakfast, it's of hotel quality and having your own kitchen to do as you wish is absolutely brilliant!!it exceeded anything we had expected, easy access in a lovely well secured place made it all just perfect!
