The Grand at Dukes Townhouse

Lovely quiet property in great location which felt very safe to walk around in the evening. Easy walk to all main attractions and river. Well appointed with kitchen utensils etc and all you need if you want to do some self catering. Found the fan essential due to the heat. Bed comfy and bedding and towels lovely quality. Toiletries great too. Nearby parking in Marygate was good and left car for 3 nights with no problems.

Found it tricky to open sash windows - some instructions would be helpful.

Location was perfect. Quiet, but 5 minutes to walk to both the station and the centre of town.

Lovely sunny apartment very close to Museum Gardens. Just outside the York city walls in a quiet area a convenient walk to train station and York historic center. Grocery store, restaurants, and a bakery within 5 minute walk. Would definitely book again!

Generally clean and tidy. Comfortable bed. Clean sheets and towels. Lovely bathroom. Good assortment of pots and pans etc. Could do with a spring clean.

We stayed for two weeks. Welcome pack was very very poor, worst we have had and we travel throught the world a lot. Could benefit a spring clean around the edges. Under settee cushions lots of food, not cleaned for a long time. Lipstick on all wine glasses. Food particles on cutlery. We were left 2 toilet rolls for our 2 weeks stay. I questioned this with Stays but to no luck. I think considering cleaners coming in once in a 2 week stay to do a sheet and towel refresh the owner is saving on regular 2 and 3 night stays the least they could provide toilet rolls. Sliding sash Windows would not stay open in hot weather, Apartment could benefit from Air conditioning unit. Very hot! Door closers would help doors banging every time someone came in and out. OWNER NEEDS TO REVIEW MANAGEMENT BY STAYS.
