Tip - do not judge a book by its cover. Upon arrival I was deflated; as the exterior does not reflect the interior and I was unsure whether it was the right place; as the accommodation was opposite. The host was quick to check us in; carried our bags upstairs. He was so friendly and polite. When we entered our private accommodation the place was above standard; my immediate reaction was so different to when we first arrived- It was the best stay throughout Japan; and we stayed in so many different places. Separate to everyone else; quiet; best views of the lake, within metres; and unbelievable views of Mt Fuji; it felt as if it was in the backyard- sitting down eating and having Mt Fuji as the backdrop - it was perfect. Heated flooring; large lounge area with large windows - double glazed. Kitchen is very modern - large size fridge; cooking facilities are modern- tip use Google translator on how to use each tab/button. Spotless; hygienic and the latest technology throughout. Sensor lights at night in the event you need to get up to use the bathroom. Separate bidet/toilet. 3 large beds and one single bed with clean sheets, comfy mattress and variety of pillows. Tv was huge! There is also a smart set up to set lighting: water: temperature; flooring etc. unlimited toiletries. Close to the bus stop - 100 metre walk. Highly recommended to stay in this spot versus other areas in this location as it is too busy else where and noisy. If you like walking there is a large supermarket with 1.2 kilometres - great walk through the back streets - cobble stones and traditional housing. Nice shrine around the corner. Thank you, we will be back next year.

Perhaps a little clean up around the front - however, this did not impact us at all.
