We really felt like this place was a hidden gem, it’s tucked away from the main streets but is only a 10 minute walk to the bus stop or has bikes available to hire at a nearby hotel. The owner was such a lovely man, very welcoming and you can tell he has a genuine care for his guests! The musical evenings are well worth staying up for, he is an incredible singer and I would definitely recommend trying the homemade sake.
It wasn’t a dislike, but the property is in a semi-rural area of Kawaguchiko. We liked this as you were off the beaten path and within tranquility, but some people may want to be closer to the town. We found you can walk to the nearest restaurant and 7eleven in 15 minutes so didn’t mind

Hotel owner was the most humble person we have met in Japan. High honorable values and treats you with the upmost respect. The food, location, and vibes make the stay truly feel like a traditional Japanese home. The Onsen relaxes after walking all morning getting to see all around Mt Fuji.
Nothing to be disappointed about the property!
