Lovely house, well looked after and great location

Really comfortable, clean throughout, easy to find and close to everything. Great communication from the property owner, the house had everything we needed it was a great find

Exhausting week in Chester

Location in residential street. Plenty to see and do and ample places to eat and drink in the City centre which was approx 20 min walk away from the cottage either along the canal or the main road. Cottage was roomy, comfortable and well equipped. Host was quick to come out to explain how the oven worked. Lovely enclosed garden. All in all a very lovely stay with good weather the entire week.

The very poor bus service into the city. Parking very sort after but only had a problem once when we went to the zoo.

Great house and clean, but no parking.

Decoration was very snazzy, and really clean.

I sent 3 messages to the hosts during our stay asking questions but unfortunately they didn’t reply. Which was really unhelpful. Parking is also really difficult, I parked my car outside the house but I got blocked in so couldn’t use my car for the weekend.

Great location right by the canal

Great location right by the canal which takes you straight into the heart of Chester. Away from the hustle and bustle but still very accessible to the historic centre with loads of eating places and shops. + only 40 minutes by train into Liverpool.

Fine for the short time we were there for

Cosy, clean, modern. It was fine for the couple of days we were there for.

No instructions on how to use cooker, microwave and coffee machine. Not all appliances are the same. No notes on recycling or where to put recycling. Lack of cooking pans. We managed but if we were there longer would have become an issue. Finally, street parking, says first come first but no mention of how very narrow the road was. These are small criticisms, and it doesn’t detract that it’s a lovely property but these were the things that would have improved our stay.

Excellent location, funky and beautiful house that was perfect for our girls weekend away.

Very funky and modern! Clean, spacious, perfect for a girls weekend away.

One problem was the overflowing wheelie bin in the tiny garden. There was a beautiful little garden with fairy lights and seating but unfortunately the wheelie bin was overflowing with bin bags and there were flies and an unpleasant smell so we couldn't sit out and enjoy the garden - hence why I rated 9/10 not a full 10/10.

A fabulous home from home stay

Gorgeous property with a real home from home feel. The kids were settled instantly and we loved all the extra touches such as the board games and stocked coffee cupboard. Some amazing memories made wandering along the canal watching the boats moving through the locks and home to a game of battleships.

loved Chester and house overall was good

bright and airy house, well equipped and comfortable bed.

the water pipes banging when we or the neighbours ran water. thought someone was breaking into house during the night. the stairs are quite precarious. parking wasn’t easy as very tight streets and nothing available outside the house.
