Churton House was a lovely place to stay. Perfect location to walk into Chester, around 15 minutes or 60 if you stop in the pubs on the canal (recommended). It’s a lovely comfortable place to stay with all the equipment you need for your stay. We enjoyed our stay.

Nothing linked to the property directly but the road that the house is in is very narrow and residents tend to park on both sides of it. It gives you a narrow exit if you drive down it.

It was a good location.

I would like to put that if you are staying in a house with other people, the bathroom door should close and have a decent lock on it

The location was perfect for our group - I know the area well. The walk along the canal into city is lovely and very easy. It's great to have views of the canal from the house. The bedrooms are clean and spacious and the beds in them were very comfortable. We could boost the heating when we needed to. The house is well-equipped.

The house was not clean. On the surface it looked good - but there was a horrible smell - made worse by the attempt to mask it with fresheners. The carpets are old and dirty. The sofa bed in the sitting room has stains on it - and would be insufficient for two people to sleep on. The kitchen had thick dirt on on the light switch, finger marks on the power points and splashes of food and drink on the tiling. The panels inside the extractor fan over the cooker are filthy and clogged with fat - so the kitchen smells of old fat. The house could benefit from a good deep clean - and having the carpets cleaned.
