The Narrow House - Victorian with free parking, garden & walk to Chester centre

This Victorian house was a great find The hosts were very quick to respond to messages. Information given was so concise. Had no issues finding the property. Perfect location for a canal walk into city centre. Close to an aldi and a waitrose. Bus stops near the property . Coffee shop close by, Ginger monkey was recommended and had great coffee. The property itself was beautiful and deceivingly large .Bathroom was fabulous. Clean and well equipped. Was great having a garden to sit in.

We did mention the TV to the hosts and they responded well. We prefer to just switch on a TV and pick a channel. We found TV a bit irritating . My personal preference would have been a washing machine instead of a dishwasher. As we were only there a few days it was fine. The garden was a wee bit tired. This is not the hosts fault but worth a mention as it affected our stay. We were very respectful to the neighbours .but however our last evening was spoiled by neighbours about two doors down having a very loud garden party . We couldn't sit outside to have a relaxing drink. Could hear inside too. Hopefully it is not a regular occurrence. Still gave this property a high score as it was excellent in every other way

The house had a very cosy and homely atmosphere which was ideal for ourselves and our two young children. We loved how spacious the bathroom and kitchen were and they were equipped with everything needed to make our stay feel comfortable. My 5 year old loved the size of the bathtub, it was a battle convincing her to come out of it. The location of the property was ideal for the purposes of our stay, whixh was to visit Chester, BeWILDerwood and drive from Liverpool and back.

Not really something that can be helped or changed but because of the size of our car we found parking on the driveway to be a bit of a squeeze, especially when having to load and unload our 5 year old and baby out of the car. Of course we very much appreciated the free off road parking.

Excellent location for walking in to Chester and all the touristy stuff

Couldn't get BBC Iplayer to work on the lounge TV despite a lot of googling and resetting etc, but was fine on other TVs

Tastefully decorated. Plenty of room for the three of us. Loved the bathroom, especially the rainshower and the big towels. Loads of coat hangers in the bedrooms, which is unusual!

The main TV was unfathomable to us oldies, but we didn't really need it. A comfy chair for a third and fourth person in the living room would have made it even better.
