Allison's communication was excellent.
The location was great, although parking nearby was challenging!
A lovely property, with loads of amenities within walking distance.

Location and comfort were excellent. The accommodation was comfortable and clean
The stairs were extremely slippery and as they were steep I was constantly concerned when going to the kitchen. We had to carry a baby up and down so a bit worrying
Parking was a nightmare so it is essential to factor in the expense of a 48 hour stay

Great location, close to restaurants, walks & for visiting the area. Lovely view from garden terrace.
Quick & helpful reply from Allison whenever we messaged her.
Shame the central heating isn’t on a timer and has to be switched on manually - a bit of a challenge when waking up on a cold December morning, or when coming back from a walk.
No window in the downstairs bedroom & a little chilly, despite having the wood burner on in the evening.

We had good communication with the owner leading up to our stay and while we were there. We loved the cozy feel of the cottage. It was very close to the sea front and everything was walking distance. We didn't have the chance to take advantage of the garden terrace due to the weather but the views from up there were amazing.
Would definitely stay there again and longer next time. It was a good base to meet up with friends. Could not find fault with anything. Highly recommend this cottage.

This is a perfect cottage. It is in the best possible location in Mumbles with views across the bay from the terrace. The cottage is gorgeous with every little detail thought of. The communication with Allison was excellent and we will certainly be coming to stay again.

Property was a nice old fashioned cottage - not particularly dog friendly though as lots of steps to the outside seating area we have an older dog so had to carry up the stairs but think it would be hard for any dog to get up the stairs need more pictures of the outside area on the booking page so you can see for yourself before booking - local park nearby to take dog but not ideal for any nighttime dog toiletrie needs
We were particularly unlucky as we had road works in the area and didn’t get sleep for 2 nights but this was out of control of owner as it was council works being carried out but not great being so noisy of a night

Cosy, welcoming and utterly charming fisherman’s cottage in a lovely location. Stunning sea and village views from the upper garden terrace. Well equipped and beautifully decorated. A loved interior.
Only advice is to research best parking that suits you. We were lucky to get street parking in the village. But noticed there is a 24 hour car park in the Mumbles. It certainly didn’t affect our stay.

Lovely cottage with lots of character and ideally located to explore the area. We loved sitting on the terrace in the morning and eveings enjoying the views of the castle and the beach. We also liked being able to walk down to the shops and restaurants and along the promenade. Allsion was very helpful and kind and always available if you need any assistance.
It can be challenging to find free parking on the streets but there are several paid car parks available in the area.

Throughout the booking Allison the host kept in touch and couldn’t be more helpful. The cottage itself is far cuter and prettier than the pictures show. It’s been done beautifully and is a pleasure to stay in. We had the most marvellous time and it’s in a perfect location as well. The views are wonderful as well! The check-in was fantastic and we dealt with a wonderful lady who went out of her way to help us. I can recommend the cottage highly enough.
Nothing it was wonderful!

Having stayed in many cottages and apartments I have to say that this was by far and away the very best ever. The cottage location was perfect in the heart of Mumbles and the views from the high level garden over the rooftops and the Cardiff bay were exceptional. Inside the cottage was immaculately clean and very well on comfortably furnished, more like a persons home in regular use than a holiday let. In the lounge was a very comfortable leather setter and matching armchair and the whole atmosphere and ambience was one of loving care. On a practical side the kitchen was exceptionally ell equipped and had we wished to the facilities would have been more than adequate to cook even the most complex meal. Crockery and cutlery were plentiful and of a high standard including proper wine glasses (often lacking in rental properties. The fridge had been stocked with milk and the tea and coffee containers were full and fresh. Cleaning and washing facilities including a washing machine were plentiful and excellent. All in all My wife and I have never found a property even remotely as good. Finally the host Allison was extremely efficient in responding to any questions we had and had a warm, friendly and welcoming manner.

A lovely period cottage in a great location. The patio in the garden is great for watching the sunset.

Charming, characterful cottage on a quiet street in Mumbles, but still very centrally located. All amenities you might need. Particular standouts included the homely wood-burning stove (with firewood available) and the outside back garden terrace with stupendous views over Swansea Bay. Easy and flexible communication with the host.
Guests may want to be aware that the second bedroom (in the back, downstairs) can feel chillier than the rest of the cottage. (The heating system is good, but it is hard to make the downstairs warm without the upstairs getting too hot)

We liked the location. The property was clean, the rooms were all good sizes. The view from the terrace was lovely.
The parking (which we did know about upon booking but was the only drawback).

Lovely space, great location. Loved the terraces!!
Allison kindly provided a cot for our toddler.
Wouldn’t really recommend for guests with very young children - lots of stairs and breakable decorative items.

Centrally located and close to shops/pubs etc. Downstairs twin bedroom with en-suite was perfect for me with mobility issues. Cosy and clean, although there was a blood stain on the underside of one of the single quilt covers. The view from the terrace was lovely and would be great on a sunny day. Cottage is nice and warm.
No parking and on a very narrow lane. I should have google earthed the area first. The rope handrail going up the stairs could do with being tightened up a bit.

Towels could be bigger and had slight damp smell, but this is a very minor point in an otherwise great stay

Lovely area, we lit the log burner for the first time and it was lovely and warm
Comfortable beds, My mum liked her room downstairs
Kitchen was well stocked and everything there
The noise of the fan when the log fire was lit , we got to used to it though.

Would recommend staying here; Fisherman's Cottage was a lovely, quaint cottage to stay (only stayed one night, wish it had been more). It has a cosy lounge, comfy bed, a kitchen and bathroom with everything you would need, with both traditional and beach decor. Dog friendly (Nell and Caio enjoyed as much as we did) with walks straight from the door and great food in The Woodman. Stood and took in the view from the back patio high up, can imagine sitting up there on a warm sunny day would be good. Easy to find and we found it nice and peaceful. Would recommend anyone staying here to plan their parking as the Mumbles gets very busy. Will recommend to friends and hope to come back one day for another stay.

It’s a perfect location for a quiet break on the Mumbles. The cottage is quaint with a very cosy living room that has a log burner that creates great heat and ambience. The upstairs has perfectly equipped kitchen, bathroom and main bedroom with a large, maybe king size, comfy double bed. Although it was December, the patio was great to let the dog out to stretch his legs and the views over the bay are brilliant. In 2 minutes you can be walking along the front, and in a bar or restaurant in a similar time.
Nothing, it was a great escape between Xmas and New Year.

Warm and cosy with a lovely log fire.
No window in downstairs bedroom. Narrow one way lane so loading and unloading could be tricky if other cars want to get past.

Great cottage with all required facilities. Very cosy on a winters night with the log burner roaring. Really good location within walking distance of the town centre, many pubs and restaurants.

location amazing, and sky garden had incredible views right around the bay. All facilities on the doorstep and lovely touches to welcome us to the cottage.
We knew in advance about the steep hill and lack of parking outside - this couldn't be helped because of the location and in a way added to its charm!

What a beautiful cottage! We only stayed for one night, but really would have been happy to stay longer! When we arrived, the cottage was extremely clean and fresh. The views from the garden were beautiful too. Allison was so helpful and friendly and really made us feel welcome. There's plenty of good eateries within a few minutes of walking from the property and lovely views of the bay. Highly recommended and we'd love to visit again!
The only con is car parking, but we managed to get a road side space FOC over night. There is a car park about a 2 minute walk from the cottage.
