We have been regular visitors to Bergamo for over 30 years and know the area well. We often stay near the station as we like to travel around this part of Italy by train. We see from other reviews that people comment about the number of black skinned people in the area of this proprty but we are at a loss to understand why this is a problem or cause for concern. We always stay near the station and have never in over 30 years had a problem. People are just living their lives and skin colour is not relevant. The area is perfectly safe.
This was our first stay at Guesthouse Tree Rooms Modern and we were delighted with our stay. Our room Betulla was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. Although we didn't use the communal kitchen,it too was very clean. The bathroom for our room was external but private and we had a key for access. This made absolutely no difference to us. In fact ,too often old buildings are spoilt by the installation of ensuite rooms which are tiny boxes spoiling the original shape of the room. The bathroom was huge and beautifully clean, we loved it.
We did struggle with the instructions for payment before arriving which were not via the normal procedure for Booking.com. However Valentina was excellent at communicating with us via Whatsapp and we managed to sort it out to everyone's satisfaction.

Very clean and comfortable. Spacious. Natural light. Everything you may need to cook your own food. Large bathroom with walk in shower.
Very safe and secure. Lift up to 3rd floor.
Location is minutes from train and bus station and an easy flat walk. Close to cafes, restaurants, shops. Easy flat walk to the center of the town and short walk to the bus to visit old town.
Although located on corner of a busy road it was very quiet.
Owners were very communicative and friendly!
I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Not a criticism at all, more of awareness for those staying here. The sign on the front door (to the side) is very small and can be easily missed. Windows had no curtains only nets but that’s fine if you are an early riser or take an eye mask.

Located close to the Bergamo train station, the room was clean and warm, with comfortable beds. Detailed instructions to check in and a great host.
