Very welcoming and accommodating owner gave us a ride to Goro station when taxis weren’t available! The property had everything you needed and very authentic Japanese rooms. The property was close to a 7/11 as well restaurants nearby.

Lovely and cozy place

I bit far from station

Our family was in Japan for 15 days-visiting both big cities and small countrysides. This property was a nice break from the traditional hotels we were staying in. We brought our 9 year old daughter and all agreed from the physical space itself, to the coziness of the bedding, this was a favorite for all of us-and we had some very nice hotel rooms. This place we lovingly called grandma’s house because we just felt taken care of. It was exceptionally clean, there were several varieties of tea set out for us, and again-the comfiest sleep we had in all the trip. We wished we had more time so we could have stayed more than a night.

It was a little more work to get to than our research had indicated. This isn’t really the properties fault by any means but likely just a shortcoming on our part of having never been to this area and relying on what we can find through our internet searches. If it’s a busy part of the day, do not rely on taxis to be readily available to get you where you want, instead plan to hike a little :)

It was cheap and the pictures were representative of what the place looked like. We had our own bathroom and fridge. We had clean sheets and a roof over our heads and the sleeping area was clean and tidy.

There was leftover tea in the teapot from the previous users that had not been cleaned out. Check-in was until 10pm, we arrived at 8 pm and nobody was present to direct us to our room in the dark, there was a key and a map and we were asked to check in ourselves. As a result, we couldn't find towels in the room - we searched the linen cupboard and could not see them, and eventually only found fresh towels 5 minutes before we checked out the following morning. The window of the bathroom was left open most of the evening so there were a lot of dead bugs and insects in the bathroom. There appeared to only be two rooms being used in the entire complex, and so the two occupied rooms were next to each other. I suggest not allocating people to rooms in the same building if there are other rooms available - the people staying below us came home at 1 am and were creating a substantial amount of noise which we could hear clearly.
