I would avoid booking this accommodation as their property management is poor

It was in a good location

On arrival we discovered that we had been double booked. I had booked the property 8 months in advance for a special occasion only to discover that it had continued to be advertised and it was given to a party that had booked in April. I was advised by the owners that the error was made by booking.com, but on calling booking.com I was notified that the owners were at fault. We had paid the full amount upfront so they had accepted our money but had not questioned this. When I pointed this out to the owners via text, as we were frustrated by the situation, I then received an angry call from the owner who continually shouted at me until I hung up. We are still waiting for a refund.

Great location for the races, with nice pubs, bars and takeaways within a short walk

We picked this because of the great location, as we was going to Haydock Races

There wasn’t enough drinks glasses, cups, cutlery and crockery for the group of 8 of us. We had to go and buy some from B&M across the road. I also think there should be a dining table and chairs and enough garden furniture for the number the house has capacity for.

Lovely home and hosts, great location.

The location was great for us, only a short walk to local shops and takeaways for the weekend. There was plenty of parking on the street and room more one car on the drive.

We struggled with heating up the oven so could only use the grill, and couldn’t locate the heating dial, but other than that we had a lovely stay.

Amenities available in the property, good that it has 4 double bedrooms, and 3 toilets, very spacious, ideal for Haydock races

The decking outside requires some tlc and would be good too have more seating available outside

Plenty of space in a quiet road

Four large bedrooms with two bathrooms and extra downstairs toilet meant we all ( 5 adults and one child) had plenty of space and good facilities. We weren’t cooking but the kitchen was plenty big enough if we had wanted to. Quick walking distance of B&M bargains and LIDL meant no problem with provisions or breakfast pastries. Deli- licious just opposite LIDL did the best breakfast barms too. Quiet road - no traffic noise Excellent position between Liverpool and Manchester so convenient place to stay for both

For a property that could house 8 adults there was only a three seater settee in the lounge. The rest of us were sat on the dining chairs. Not the most comfortable way to spend the evening. Something to be aware of if you are thinking of spending your evenings in.

Could of been a lot better for our arrival .

plenty of room for the 6 of us .

It was not cleaned and left ready for our use . Food left in cupboards , dirty dish clothes left , dirty oven , dirty skirting boards . Not all bulbs in the light fittings . I will not leave photos as the owners did clean and make the home cleaner for our use the morning after our arrival . So all though we were not completely happy they did there up most to help us . We were given some cupcakes to say thank sorry .

We went during a cold month and heating wasn't working, so we wasn't able to stay in the house as much as we wanted to.

Really lovely property. Hosts really helpful and understanding, particularly when we had a minor key related incident which was our fault!

Dishwasher would’ve been useful for a property this size and the number of guests it can accommodate. But just a minor thing cos we don’t like washing up!!

The rooms didn’t have curtains so when it was sunrise it was wake up time.
