Good property - Worst mattress

The property is very clean and tidy. all the amenities has been provided as per the advt.

The mattress was a nightmare, all the spring actions have been gone and the middle of the mattress is scooped. Very uncomfortable mattress.

Be aware of this accommodation, this is a nightmare ! I was given the wrong code in order to get into the building. The accommodation was not available via phone so it took me over 1,5h of booking support call to finally get in(which obviously cost me a fortune with my European phone number). Then the next surprise waited for me, the room was not clean. Not sure if some of the other tenants used the room or if no one cleaned it before me checking in but it was disgusting (Linens, towels, floor, shelves, everything, never seen such yellow white linens). After complaining they did send someone to clean, but it's still far from expectation. I was promised to be getting new sheets after 1-2 weeks, but that never happened. The shared areas unfortunately are in the same disgusting state. This unfortunately does depend on all tenants, but overall not usable. Had to get another place, so don't waste your money. Also it's in a very sketchy area (blocked street by police for several crime scenes), would definitely not recommend it for a long stay or solo travelers!

Honest review

The room was extremely spacious and enjoyable. The location was within 20 min walk from a nearby train station and 5 minutes from a bus stop so entering town centre was easy.

The shared rooms could of been marked a little more clearly, and perhaps a sign in the rooms that shares the wifi details for signing into the wifi. The only other thing is finding the £100 security out on the day. Perhaps adding a note of this being required in the automated messages you send out pre-booking might be useful.

OVERALL I WOULDNT RECOMMEND OR STAY AGAIN...

Wasnt provided a door entry code till the second night...very unprofessional and dismissive customer service over the phone whilst attempting to get the code during multiple calls over two days. Had to call booking.com to complain/resolve, Another resident had to let me in the main door... which seems to be a theme looking at other reviews Parking is a joke...cars double and triple parked along the road...aome even parked on the kerb making it difficult to approach the property...never seen anything like it Very noisy stairs and other residents Freezing cold kitchen with smelly overfilled bins You have to walk through this cold kitchen, then a front room and hallway to get back to your room after a shower which isnt great when your in a towel and other residents are around so had to use late/very early to avoid. Received over 10 emails about booking before arrival with more during stay...(over the top), and more asking for a POSITIVE review... Had to provide passport details just to stay during lengthy online check-in process Blinds in bedroom let in lights from street and passing cars Towels were Stained Very soft mattress They held a security deposit on my card for damages...which took 7days to clear The payment process was weird... that take two seperate transactions of weird amounts for the one stay...the whole process was suspicious and seemed like a bit of a scam??

Illegal charge

They wanted to take anount of money that I never agree on it. I'm so disappointed. I rice that to the Booking.com customer service, and after the check, they see that I am right. So sneaky be careful. They sent me an invoice with service that I never agreed on it. Check the attached file, and you can see the fee for card processing with the amount of £100. So illegal. Be careful.

Superb

It was clean, comfortable, warm. The kitchen is large and spacious. I especially liked the large terry towels, this is a big +.

I did not like that the kitchen was not heated at all. Doors slam very loudly.

Panic in the beginning, pleasant stay in the end.

The double room that I stayed in was as described, practically the best part of the trip. It felt like being at home, nice and cosy. The room was clean when I arrived, frozen toes were unfrozen quickly by the fast heating. The furniture was nice and minimalistic, it was nice to look at.

I didn't trust the process of checking in because I didn't know that passport details were needed and the customer support person sounded sketchy when I called. I was given the correct code but was not told to put a # so when the door code kept failing I thought it was a scam, also l wasn't able to talk to a manager to clarify the information I was getting at the time. I was let in by a resident at the hotel and realised it was not a scam. I managed to talk to a different customer support person after I got in which gave me more information and reassurance. The shower door does not fully close at the latch so I kept closing it mid shower to avoid wetting the floor.

A big disappointment.

I was totally put off because when I checked in the whole house was like a chimney. The room was stuff and stank of old cig go smell. I was on ground floor and one of the windows was broken. When you call for support they don’t answer calls. They still owe me £50 which I have been chasing but to no avail.the pictures they use in Bookings do not reflect what you will find when you get there.

Not far from city centre. Accessable with bus.

Room extremely small and warm, matress old and soft, TV not working, WiFi present but we were not given the password. Bathroom not clea, toilet paper finished and other rolls not available.
