Landlords were super nice and friendly. Room was nice and well renovated. Breakfast was really nice. Bathroom and shower were delightful. Highly recommended!

I stayed here for one night together with my two children. We had a three-person room. The hotel was very clean and it has recently been renovated by the new owners, who reopened the hotel in February 2026. The owners were friendly and offered some useful advice about walking the Eifelsteig, and they also put together a lunch packet for us because there is no place to get lunch further in the walk. Although it looks like there is a restaurant there, only drinks, cake and snacks are available until 6pm, however there are a couple of restaurants that are very close. The location is beautiful with a view to the lake.
Some of the decor is a little dated in the breakfast room, although I assume the owners are planning to improve this in future.

Great location with private on site parking.
Bar appeared to open when it suited the proprietor.
Room was dusty with cobwebs on the ceiling.
Dirty ash tray left on the balcony.
Proprietor claimed his card machine wasn't working at check out.
