Stylish MCM apartment on the Arbroath coast

Convenient for transport, shops and restaurants, this was an ideal base to explore Arbroath in a weekend. The accommodation is very stylish and comfortable- one of the very best I’ve experienced. The best, biggest towels get a thumbs up from me. Samantha was an attentive and obliging host, allowing us early access for a luggage drop (much appreciated). Happily stay again- still lots to explore in Arbroath.

Luxury doesn't come close, the attention to detail of the furnishings is breathtaking. Just makes it so much more homely. Little extra touches, tea, coffee biscuits, milk and butter in the fridge, just added to the luxury. The bed extremely comfortable with lovely bedding. Shower excellent with lots of extra towels. Location, perfect, 5 minute walk from the railway station, but lots of free parking spaces if travelling by car. Host, Samantha, fabulous, but a full booklet explaining absolutely everything, even takeaway leaflets if you don't fancy cooking. Can't praise the whole experience enough, highly, highly recommend.

The property itself is in a good location and is well equipped.

Our experience at this property was, unfortunately, disappointing. When we arrived on Saturday, the boiler was broken and there was no heating in the property. It was around 9°C outside, and while Samantha’s partner, Sal, arrived promptly within an hour to assess the situation and was helpful, it quickly became clear that the boiler could not be fixed that evening. We were provided with two small portable heaters, which made little difference in such cold conditions. Samantha’s response was simply that their engineer could come on Monday, and that we should “speak then.” This was disheartening, as it meant we were effectively expected to stay in an unheated property for the weekend. For a place that markets itself as a “luxury property,” this was unacceptable. After we raised the issue with Booking.com customer service, it appeared this prompted more action. Sal returned on Sunday, and with remote guidance from their engineer and managed to get the boiler working by Sunday evening. While this was a huge relief, it felt as though we had to fight for a basic necessity rather than receive proactive care from the host. In addition, there were issues with check-in communication. The listing states check-in is between 3 p.m. and midnight. In the days before arrival, I told Samantha we expected to arrive between 5–6 p.m., but would confirm on the day. On Saturday morning, I updated her that we would arrive around 3:10 p.m. However, she said that whilst they could try to have the property ready, housekeeping was working towards 5–6 p.m. as that had been our “original” estimate. This was frustrating- we were trying to be considerate by giving notice, but instead it backfire. I understand that issues can happen, but the unempathetic handling of the situation left a very negative impression. Once the heating was finally restored, we could appreciate the space, but it’s disappointing that it took such persistence to reach that point.

Lovely cozy place, great location and walking distance to many good spots in Arbroath. We loved the shower, great water pressure. Bed was comfy. Great tea and coffee selection.

The bed was a little bit short for us, and the pillows not super comfortable but wasn’t too bad.

location was good. Short distance to bus station and shops etc. Flat was very clean and tidy on arrival. Host was easy to get in touch with. Loved the extra touches of tea, coffee, milk, biscuits etc A really comfy bed. Only one gripe. The toilet seat was a bit annoying but Samantha the host did inform us of this and that she was replacing it. The area also, is quiet and the neighbours up and down were great. No disturbance in the least. A great flat for staying away either for a short time or a bit longer.

Quiet, convenient and comfortable. The apartment is well presented, very clean and the owner ver responsive to any queries.
