About this house rental
The SeaShell Haus is a beautiful beach retreat designed for your next getaway. With three floors of living space and multiple decks, there’s plenty of room for families and friends to spread out and enjoy time together. Pet-friendly and welcoming, it’s a place where everyone—furry friends included—can join the fun. Just a third of a mile from the ocean, the home offers the perfect balance of easy beach access and peaceful surroundings.
The many amenities you'll love include a sand volleyball court, heated pool with pool floaters, fully screened-in hot tub area, outdoor TV, horseshoe area, fish cleaning station, outdoor gas grill, pool table/game room, and three stories of decks, complete with an outdoor shower for rinsing off the sand.
As part of the beautiful Wind over Waves neighborhood, you'll have access to a community boat ramp and walking pier for water sports.
Upon entering the home, you'll be greeted by a secluded screened-in porch with a sitting area, TV, hammock, and hot tub - perfect for ending a long beach day. The first floor features a mini-kitchen with a wet bar and refrigerator, as well as a queen bedroom with an en-suite.
On the second floor, you'll find four bedrooms - three with a queen bed and one with bunk beds - all with flat-screen TVs. Two of the rooms have private baths, while the other two share a jack & jill bathroom.
The third floor is home to a large living area with stunning views of the Pamlico Sound. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, cookware, and everything you need for coffee each morning. Enjoy meals together in the dining room, or step outside to the deck for stunning sunset views. This level also includes a king bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and private balcony access.
After a long beach day, unwind in the family room for a movie night. The room includes a flatscreen 85-inch TV with streaming access and live TV via YouTube TV and WiFi. The home can accommodate up to 14 people, and groups of 15 or 16 can be accommodated if 2 people choose to sleep on the couch and a twin bed in one of the bedrooms.
Guest access
• Check-in is at 4:00 pm and check-out is at 10:00 am.
• You will be given fresh linens and towels at the beginning of your stay.
• Easy straight access down Monitor ln to the ocean walkover, and pleasant neighborhood walking, biking, or strolling
• Conveyor lift is only to be used to transport luggage/goods

I highly recommend that you purchase trip insurance. I cannot give refunds due to the weather.
🏖 PETS:
We do allow dogs, we just ask that you please pick up after them and don’t allow them to chew on the furniture. *Please remember to pick up after your dogs!* -- Don't leave the dog(s) home alone -- only potty trained dogs are welcome
🏖 THE LOCATION:
Easy straight access down Monitor ln to the ocean walkover, and pleasant neighborhood walking, biking, or strolling. Walking distance to restaurants and Ice Cream shop
🏖 AMENITIES:
We provide towels, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels & trash can liners. *THINK OF THESE ITEMS AS “STARTER KITS” - Highly recommend you bring additional items such as extra beach towels/coffee/salt/pepper/cooking spray/water bottles etc*
🏖 ENTRY:
There is a keypad located at the front door for a simple keyless entry. The entry code will be provided to you on the day of your arrival. The code is changed after every guest.
🏖 PARKING:
There is plenty of parking space on the driveway, please do not park on the grass or sand!
🏖 BUGS and LIZARDS and CRITTERS, oh my!
Remember that Outerbanks with its warm and humid climate and bodies of water can also make for an attractive environment for pests. This being said, with water surrounding both sides of the island, pests such as palmetto bugs, spiders, flies, mosquitoes, midges, and ants can be prevalent around your vacation rental home, as they commonly seek out food, sources of water, and cooler temperatures! This is very typical for Outerbanks. Our home is well maintained by pest control service
🏖 INTERNET:
The house has reliable Internet, but the speeds aren’t the fastest given the remote location. It works well for streaming Netflix on the television, multiple phones connected using social media and email, but you’ll see reduced speeds if you have multiple people performing bandwidth-heavy activities (zoom calls/downloading and uploading large files, etc.)
You can access your Hulu & Netflix accounts with the Smart TV
🏖 OUTDOOR SPACE:
Pool lounge chairs, hammock, three levels of decks with chairs an outdoor shower & outside picnic table available for you to enjoy!
🏖 BEDS:
There are 1 king, 4 queen, and 5 twin beds (2 bunk beds), & a sectional couch, all combined can accommodate up to 16 people.
🏖 KITCHEN:
Fully equipped with a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, and all the basic kitchen essentials; Pots/Pans/Plates/Cups/Utensils
🏖 SECURITY:
A Ring doorbell is located at the staircase and outdoor security cameras are at the front of the house for your security. NO cameras inside the property

This house was great as it’s located in a quiet and relaxing neighborhood. Enjoyed the pool. The area with hot tub and hammock was prefect for hanging out with family/friends. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved the house! Beautiful layout - tons of room. Top floor was wonderful - so spacious and you can be in the dining room, kitchen or living area and still see and talk with everyone! Fully stocked with everything you could need. Loved having the pool table room for evening hanging out, plus the area with the hot tub was so enjoyable too - swinging on the hammock or in the hot tub. Property owner very attentive - answered any questions very quickly. Will definitely come back to this house again!

House is beautiful, very comfortable! Plenty of space, kitchen well equipped, house had games for kids, outdoor activities, beach equipment. Only minor issue was lack of towels/washrags, otherwise stay was great. Host was fast and very responsive to any questions/needs we had.

House was wonderful. Best equiped house we have ever stayed in. We've been coming to the Outer Banks for 30 years. The beds were comfortable the kids loved the volleyball court and the hammock downstairs. The neighborhood was very quiet
