apartment poor, on arrival there were dirty towels hanging on bathroom door which rang alarm bells that the apartment hadn't been cleaned. there were also only 2 pillows on the bed & not two each. The host did swiftly org someone to come and check & swap towels add pillows. However the apt is v basic & didn't feel v clean. grubby cutlery drawers (hairs & crumbs). just couldn't wait to leave

Perfectly located, modern and well equipped. More suited to heavy sleepers duringyhe summer season.

It is ideally located behind The Marine Hotel and within a few hundred metres of all the local bars, cafes and the main attraction and reason for our stay, the beach. It’s clean, comfortable and the contemporary decor was welcome. It’s well fitted out and has everything you need for a self-catered stay. The balcony was a welcome addition and a lovely place to enjoy the summer sun. Parking was ample and made things a lot easier (we don’t travel light!).

Given its close proximity to cafes and bars, it’s very noisy at night. We were kept awake both nights until the early hours of the morning as residents of the Harbour Bar serenaded us with songs of the sea- not as pleasant as it sounds! Given the time of year, opening the windows was vital to allow some cooler air to flow but impossible given the noise. If you’re a heavy sleeper, then this won’t bother you but unfortunately, I’m not. I’m assuming bars and restaurants have acquired late licenses as I expected them to close at 11pm during the week because it was closer to 2am by the time the noise settled. There was a lot of confusion as to where the entry point to the apartment was. We were supposed to receive an email providing all the details required for our stay but I never received it ( perhaps the email I provided was copied incorrectly and sent to someone else?) The booking.com profile lists the name as ‘Causeway coast apartments’ so that’s what we looked for but the sat nav couldn’t pick up the address/postcode provided on site. The actual name is ‘Marine apartments’ implying the apartments belong to the hotel and since we didn’t book through them, we were unsure of where to go. This was cleared up with a phone call but when the gate code supplied via text, didn’t work, it only added to our confusion and delayed our access further but this was all rectified and we really appreciated the efforts gone to following this mistake.

Great stay, lovely apartment

The apartment was location was perfect, the process of obtaining the keys was very easy, the instructions from the host were accurate and easy to follow.

The only issue that we had was that the door to the apartment was a bit fidgety.

The check in arrangements and information provided made it easy to get in to the property.

There were some problems with the shower resulting in flooding that made the floor tiling slippery, We reported it and were advised the property manager would be notified but there was no more action after that. It’s behind a hotel so it can get a little noisy on a Saturday night.

Perfect stay

Perfect location, spotlessly clean, safe and secure property with gated car park. Loved the information provided via email that provided information on everything you needed to enjoy your stay both in the apartment and Ballycastle. Also loved how quiet and dark the bedroom was. Coffee and treats basket is a lovely welcome. A great stay.

The sofa could do with some cushions as a little boxy. Also when you ran water or flushed the loo there was a very noisy after sound, not sure what it was, possibly some tank filling up or something. Not a big issue, just being incredibly picky.

The location was excellent. The bedrooms were very spacious.

This is just me being exceptionally picky so apologies - the sofa was not comfortable, lovely to look at but not for lounging. There was a lack of hangers.

A perfect location in a lovely little town.

Brilliant location. Close to the beach and town centre. Compact but very comfortable and well appointed. The shortcake delighted our 7 year oldgrandaughter who will definitely be back. Very secure and safe parking outside so unloadng was easy. After contacting Sandy on the phone we were able to park before check-in and go for lunch and still gain access well before the appointed time. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Ballycastle and surrounding attractions.

Location behind very loud pubs, which played music until 12 midnight and 2.30 am on two occasions The patio door is extremely difficult to open The second bedroom needs a mirror and side shelf at the least...nowhere to place essentials other than the floor. Plus, the bed is a large single. Two average size adults would have sleepless nights Shower temperature control coming off wall A kitchen roll would have been helpful More toilet rolls and better quality soap

Noise from adjoining pubs Every night...loud music and loud chatting until gone midnight and 2.30am on more than one occasion Would have liked a kitchen towel provided Temperature control in shower needs fixing...lose and will come off eventually. The second bedroom bed is not large enough for two adults. But adequate as a single No mirror in the second bedroom. Short of loo rolls...needed to purchase more Soap is not good quality..again had to purchase our own

A great choice.

The location was really central. The facilities were excellent. The apartment was spotless. Communication from the host was clear, open and always helpful. An enjoyable stay and I would like to visit again. I will be recommending this property to friend and family who may wish to visit Ballycastle.

If directions has stated that the private car park adjoined the hotel guest carpark it would have saved a brief moment of feeling a bit lost, but perhaps that's down to my age!

Hidden gem

What a hidden gem... My partner and I loved everything about the apartment. It was exceptionally clean, shower was amazing, it had everything we needed and was just such a cosy we place. The location of the apartment was very close to all local amenities and attractions. Rory was very accommodating by supplying us with local information such as taxi numbers, where to dine etc. Can't wait to come back again.

There was nothing at all my partner and I didn't like but we could make a few silly recommendations. A few scatter cushions on the sofa, as we all love a we cozy up on the sofa with a cushion. A mirror in the bedrooms.
