The Jumbo Homestay

Our stay at The Jumbo Homestay in Kuta Lombok was absolutely amazing, and the biggest highlight of this place is definitely Rahman. I truly hope the owners know how lucky they are to have him — he deserves a huge pay rise for the way he takes care of guests. From the very first moment, Rahman was incredibly kind, professional, trustworthy, welcoming, and always smiling. No matter what we asked for, he was always happy to help — not only with us, but with every guest around him. You can genuinely feel that he cares. One morning we were leaving very early for a sunrise trip, and he even offered to wake up at 4 AM to prepare breakfast for us. Another day, I missed breakfast hours completely because I came back late around noon, and he still made breakfast for me so I wouldn’t miss it. That level of kindness and hospitality is something truly special. Communication with him was perfect the entire stay. We exchanged WhatsApp numbers, and whenever I needed anything, he responded quickly and always with positivity and patience. He also helped organize fixing my scooter so I could continue exploring Lombok without stress. Him and the team helped us with luggage, transportation, recommendations — literally everything. The rooms are huge, comfortable, and very well equipped. There is plenty of space everywhere, especially in the bathroom, which honestly is rare in many places in Indonesia. There are lots of shelves and drawers, so I could organize all my things and cosmetics comfortably. The hot water worked perfectly, the room had everything we needed, and the entire place felt spacious and relaxing. I also want to give a special shoutout to the young guy working there during some of the night shifts — unfortunately I don’t remember his name, but he was also absolutely wonderful. Always smiling, kind, professional, and reliable. He prepared breakfast for us several times early in the morning, and it was always delicious.

Honestly if you are looking for a great place to crash for a week or two, look no further, great bed, internet was solid, the hosts Artie and the other guy were amazing. They rent good bikes and I made some friends who were also staying there.

The power would drop our sometimes in the afternoon but never for more than 5 minutes

Perfect room - super comfy and modern! The outside part of the homestay is in the middle of being built, but there wasn't any loud noise. Really good value for money, would recommend for a nice easy place to stay in Kuta.

Enjoyed our stay here for the week. The host was lovely, and even went out to get some cough medicine when my husband was sick. The breakfast each morning was delicious (highly recommend the omelette). Great value and was good to be able to walk to the beach.

The power and wifi cut out briefly every day at 5:30pm which was when I had some work calls, but always reconnected quickly. But only a small thing that didn't affect our overall stay :)
