The new Owners have worked hard to re-create the historic atmosphere whilst balancing that with building in modern amenities many guests want these days
The restaurant dinner menu was expensive with little choice. The buffet and cooked options at breakfast were poor

The manager looked for me to greet and make me feel welcome. The food was excellent with impeccable service. The rooms décor is opulent with a fitting theme. Staff from the reception to assisting me with parking to welcome and service is something that differentiates from other hotel or BnB's that typifies a boutique hotel. Well worth the stay.

staff, breakfast, general surrounds all very good.
the room was very noisy - as it was over the road and also the bar/cafe area and the noise was considerable.
