We loved the location of this cottage. It had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the big bathroom was amazing! We would definitely stay here again if we ever return back to the Lake District.
Just a few suggestions...have spare thinner blankets. The comforters were amazing but very warm for the summer. The floors were a bit sandy when we arrived and the clean towels were still damp from the cleaning staff. A fan would be helpful for people that do wash and need to air dry their clothing. Just all minor things but may help others in the future.

The beds! They were so comfortable. The under floor heating was wonderful. The cooking facilities were good. Was most surprised that it had a dishwasher, although we never used it. The view was most pleasant. Great excess to the M6
We all enjoyed our stay but there were several things that I must mention. Travelling with my 46 year old wheelchair dependant daughter and my other daughter for assistance my initial impression of Lune Cottage was disappointment. The photos on Booking.com gives the impression that it is a relatively large Cottage. The interior photos give a false impression of ample room. Whereas in reality its over full of furniture in a relatively small kitchen diner/lounge. The property has a balcony that you must confront a round wooden table and 4 chairs just to reach the door. A very stiff lock and once the door is open, the noise from the slip road onto the motorway is really quite noisy. Wouldn't want to sit out there! Inside the lounge two sofas. A very large footrest. A long oblong table and a TV stand . Absolutely no room for a wheelchair user without moving some items of furniture. As to the bedrooms. One bedroom had a very high king-size bed. The daughter helping me had that room. She's 5'10". She just about managed to get into the bed. I tried and am 5'3" and couldn't get on it! I shared the other bedroom with my disabled daughter. Again to much furniture and no room to get her to the double bed!! Not a big enough gap. All doors were fire doors and despite the wooden wedges supplied, they kept closing on us each time we walked through the doorways. Doors quite heavy. The wet room was good. But no windows to open in the bathrooms, which became smelly after our daily showers. Conclusion. We enjoyed our stay but really you ought to consider less furniture to make more space for wheelchair users. Thank you for having us.

Good location
There was only a line in the bathroom to try and dry your washing

The good things- the property is as pictured. The rooms are large. The bathrooms are modern. The kitchen has everything you need. The TV's are massive, but I didn't use them. The yard is large and it's definitely in the country. It's a beautiful stone cottage that is reasonably modern inside. So much potential here.
The property needs a good spring clean, some dishes were dirty as the dishwasher sounded on but wasn't, and there are very old, dusty cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. The lounge is old and gross. The beds were too high, so you couldn't sit on them. Some of the pots and pans need replacing as they are so damaged. The spa bath doesn't work. The cottage is by a highway and while you can't hear the traffic you get the noise from a cattle grid on the road that every car and truck runs over exiting the highway. There is no instruction booklet therefore you don't know how to adjust things such as the heating that was too hot for me. There is a good washing machine but no dryer or rack to dry clothes.
