Lake District cottage in one acre gardens off M6

I liked everything about the location and the space. The rooms and bathrooms are new, and all cooking utensils and appliances are available.

I didn't like the furniture; it wasn't new and it wasn't comfortable.

Good location and lovely garden for the dog to run around in the evenings.

A very small thing could only find 1 tea towel.

It’s essentially false advertising, the way the description is worded “set in one acre plot” insinuates this is part of the property you are hiring for the duration. However, it’s far from it. The “acre” is actually part of several properties which are shared. No privacy & a public right of way straight through the gardens in which you hire out. It’s also advertised as a hot tub. Unfortunately there is no hot tub. The host is well aware of this, yet still advertised as the above. You get a bath with water jets. The property itself has rotten window frames in the kitchen with holes in them. I actually pulled up at 15:45, 15 minutes after the property should have been cleaned and ready. The owners were still present cleaning. I had been assured earlier that day when I asked for an earlier check in that “you can’t check in early as the cleaning company needs to get the property ready”. There were no instructions left to control the underfloor heating. Just a bad experience. Won’t be staying again.
