A great location for Sedbergh and the wider Yorkshire Dales and southern Lake District. Really comfy rooms and a good range of things in the kitchen. We had a problem with the oven door and it was fixed really quickly. The hosts were really responsive.

4 ageing blokes on bikes didn’t deserve such a lovely place . Lovely locals helped make this a very memorable weekend -

A very beautiful place to stay , very well done , spotless , very nice touch with the milk and lemon cake . A stream passes the back of the kitchen and sounds amazing

The beautiful stream at the back made me want to go to the toilet ….

Perfect long weekend stay

The location was perfect, near to the village but quiet with convenient parking. The accommodation was very comfortable and plenty spacious enough for 2 adults and a teenager. The welcome cake and milk was thoughtful too, and the large TV in the living room meant we could all enjoy a film together after a long day walking in the hills - perfect.

Great weekend away - we hope to return !

Really cosy cottage with plenty of space for 5 of us plus small dog - great location for dog walks along the river and up the fells ! Very comfy beds !

Unfortunately the fan oven was not working unless you held the door closed( not. A problem for our short stay - highly recommend Fish and chips from The Haddock Paddock , and the gas fire in the lounge was not working either - shame on such a chilly weekend

Very pleasant stay in this interesting old town. The cottage was very clean and the equipment adequate and of was well

Period cottage.Refurbished to a very high standard.

Attic stairs very steep and narrow. No hand rail after the first rise. Two beds in the smallest room, better to have a double there and make the bigger room a twin. Instructions for the high tech cooker thermostat and coffee machine were nowhere to be seen. Caretaker not available when we needed help ( 7.00pm). No way to leave a recorded message. Recycling bags not available. No sight of the caretakers at any time during our stay. This is especially important as guests arrive

Pretty traditional cottage with comfortable modern fittings

Very comfortable cottage, newly fitted out with everything we needed. We really liked the traditional look with a good modern kitchen and bathrooms. Nice to have a hamper with wine and crisps It was beautifully clean and nice and warm to come back to after some long soggy walks!

It could do with a small freezer - for ice cream and ice cubes etc. It's a quirky old cottage - so some of the doors don't fit that well - which is fine if you know everyone well! The hot water runs out after a couple of showers/baths, but it does heat up quite quickly. Could do with an info sheet about how things work - we couldn't find the controller to turn on the gas wood burner in the sitting room.

Brilliant location,good size rooms, complementary tea,coffee, biscuits,crisp&bottle wine nice touch, lovely walk in shower in on suite

The perfect quiet getaway in a great location, beautiful scenery and lovely places to eat!

The cottage is so beautifully done, really lovely interiors. Character mixed with modern fixtures, we had such a great stay! The bedroom sizes are so generous and the kitchen/bathrooms kitted out perfectly. Thanks so much, we'd love to come back!

We loved everything, nothing bad to say at all!!! The location is excellent, the local scenery beautiful and the cottage itself just perfect!
