A pleasant stay with good value for money

Excellent WiFi, spacious, well appointed kitchen, clean. Appreciated the welcoming little touches like bottled water and chocolates. Ample cleaning materials provided. Secure parking if you have a car. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. The location is convenient for travel all over the peninsula with easy access to highways. We were also able to drop our luggage early, which we really appreciated. We would definitely stay again as it is good value for money.

None of the below was an issue for us, but might be for others. The area is fairly noisy with traffic and neighbourhood sounds. If you want dead quiet, it's not the right choice. There is some shuffling of cars with other guests and the owners when arriving or leaving. Again the owners are very accommodating and we didn't mind, as we were on holiday and back more or less the same time every night. Maitland is also an older, light industrial, mixed residential area which can be a bit run down in places, but we did not feel unsafe travelling at night, security at the residence is excellent.

The room was the best feature of the apartment. I appreciated the bathroom just as much.

The location. The kitchenware, such as pots and pans wasn't up to par, seemed very old. The fridge was a big hassle because no setting was right. It froze everything on a certain setting and then defrosted the items again, spoiling some products. We had ice in the freezer compartment, and tried to change the setting to keep the ice frozen only for it to melt and flood the fridge and wet the floor. It was an immense disturbance waking up to finding your products frozen beyond point of saving and having to toss it. There's only two of everything concerning cutlery which mean you have to continuously wash up. There's no grater for cheese or carrots nor is there a tin opener. The Whatsapp line for communication is slow and delayed with responses. They only respond fast if the question impacts them. They say we have netflix but could only connect us on the second day of our stay and even that was a hassle. The location for me was definitely a 5/10.

The owners were very helpful, I arrived before my check-in time but they still assisted me with a place to stay while they prepared the apartment. During load-shed period, the WiFi remains on which is very helpful in a situation as that.

The place wasn't properly prepared, appliances were not working, no toilet paper, and on our last day the electricity was finished and the owner did not top it up, sent him 2 sms's and he ignored them, but when we called to return the keys he answered.

My stay was pleasant, Place is spacious and has a washing machine and a rechargeable LED light for those nights when there's loadshedding

very slow and disconnecting wifi, the location is a little scary and not what we expected. The owners were nice but we had an issue one morning when we had to wait for them to move their car which made us late for an early appointment even though we had prior advised the owners... the main gate closes extremely fast and has a ditch when pulling out which lead to my car getting knocked by the gate :((. the couch quite small
