No batteries in split system if needing to use for air conditioning or heating did find some small electric heaters in cupboards if needed

We stayed at Diamond Beach 129 in January. The complex is well located… a lot of construction going on around - but that’s everywhere in that area! Noise wasn’t an issue. The complex is neat and well maintained and the pool area is great for all ages. We drove from NSW and, as there were 6 of us, we had 2 cars… definitely would not recommend this as there is only 1 parking space… street parking is non-existent midweek… there are about 20 all day spots that you have to fight for. The apartment itself was neat and the kitchen was well equipped and both bathrooms newly refurbed. Beds and lounge were comfy. Unfortunately, there were some things that let it down and, for the money you pay to holiday in Qld these days, really felt it wasn’t up to scratch!…

There was so much dust and bird poo on both balconies and furniture we couldn’t use them… we advised the agent and a cleaner came and vaguely wiped over the main balcony. The bedroom balcony was left untouched and was absolutely filthy with bird poo everywhere. The glass doors looked like a dog had licked them. The laminate floors in the living area were dirty and gritty underfoot - they needed a good vac and mop! The dining table has seen better days and the coffee table was flimsy plastic. But the biggest ick for me was the bedding… No mattress protectors on any beds (just gross… but at least the mattresses look new, for now!!). Pillows are inconsistent - some are memory foam and are comfy, but some are flatter than pancakes! Bottom sheets are a size too small and don’t fit the beds properly so constantly come untucked and you wake in the morning lying on bare mattress (with no protector! Gross!). Single bed sheets are the worst!
