What an exceptional property in a truly remarkable location. The home was beautifully appointed with high-end amenities and thoughtfully stocked with all the essentials for the kitchen, bathroom, and beach. It was cozy, comfortable, and offered ample space for the two of us. Our host, Mandy, went above and beyond to ensure an outstanding experience, and her communication throughout our stay was excellent.

We had the time of our lives at Mandy's little cottage on the bay. Everything was perfectly clean, stocked, and comfortable, and there is absolutely no better located accommodation in Hanalei than this one. My family was so sad to leave, but we look forward to returning!

We spent one perfect week at this property. The Carriage House was very comfortable, stocked with all supplies, and perfectly located. We even lucked out with the weather. Easy and immediate communication with the manager, Mandy. Would stay here again. Highly recommend.

This rental is located on what I would say is one of the most amazing properties in all of Hanalei. We first thought it was too good to be true, and even then our stay exceeded our greatest expectations. The location, views, accommodations, walkability, beach access are all 10 out of 10. Mandy was an incredible, easy going host. We lucked out and had some amazing weather to top it all making for probably our best family vacation ever. Already trying to plan our return trip back!

A very well appointed and charming 2 bedroom cottage on the beach. Arguably the most scenic beach on the planet. The sound of the crashing waves at night and early morning 4 mile walks with only a few people on the beach was exceptional. We would love to stay again !

Wow, what a great and relaxing week in Hanalei! The home was extremely well done with a modern vibe and well equipped with all you need for a great stay. We have stayed in Hanalei many times in a number of properties over the years. This beach cottage was spotless and Mandy was very responsive and check in and out was smooth. The views off of the front deck facing the ocean were incredible and we ended up enjoying most of our meals at the cottage watching the sunset. The cottage included beach equipment like chairs, bodyboards, umbrellas, coolers, sand toys, etc. and the beach access is directly in front through the hedge. Surf spots for beginners at pier also directly in front, or paddle out to the bowls for better surf. Love the decor, amenities and location, no negatives (although it was a bit longer walk to town than our prior properties it wasn’t bad and the location was worth the extra walk). Will be back again! Aloha!

It is unfortunate that the storm took out the main house, that must have been devastating. But, what a lucky break for us!! My husband and I have been to Hanalei many times since we have family in Princeville and Steps to the Sand is our favorite spot so far. Being right next to the pier you would think it would feel busy, but once you're behind the gate, you have no idea what's going on in the outside world, it's just you and the view. The apartment was beautiful and comfortable. It was extremely well-appointed with high-end linens and quality furniture. It's obvious the owners care about their visitor experience, I felt like I actually one of their houseguests. The location was amazing - the morning beach walks, the afternoon surf sessions, the evening sunsets, and just a few minutes from the Mai Tais. We are already planning our next trip! Thank you for having us.

Beachfront near Hanalei pier, one could not ask ask for a better location. Beautifully decorated. Comfortable beds. Super clean. Very responsive properly manager. The freezer was not working well, and the window hardware in the master bedroom was broken which made closing it quite difficult. Would have rated 5/5 if not for these. Wish we could have stayed longer, definitely would rent again!

This property was amazing in so many ways it's difficult to single out just a few to mention. The location simply can't be overstated. The nightly sunset views from the porch were simple phenomenal! Having access to the Hanalei Bay beach and pier by walking right out of the yard was soo good. Lastly, it's an easy walk to the restaurants and bars in Hanalei which was super nice. To sum it up, I think this place has ruined me for any future trip to Kauai. Now I can't imagine staying anywhere else!

Small enough cottage for 4 of us. So many other beach cottages with direct access to the sand at the bay are too big and need to share with others. This was about 1000 square feet, but with a huge yard for the kids to run and play and look for frogs at night. Can’t beat the views. Amazing. Outdoor shower was our go-to every day from the beach. Perfect. With warm and cold water. And shampoo , body wash, etc to use outdoors. The outdoor shower Felt like a waterfall. Awesome. And a must is walking to “the Nui” for dinner, just like in the movie “The Descendants”… great food. And awesome live entertainment. Overall, if you’re looking at spending $1500/ night at the new hotel that just opened in Princeville/Hanalei, this is much better bang for your buck. And the newer construction of this home is an advantage. AC worked great in Every Room! Kitchen with SubZero appliances. Top of the line chef’s stove.

Absolutely would stay here again. It was a small property, but had everything we needed and the location can't be beat. The property manager was very helpful and ensured our needs were met as well. We loved the big yard and appreciated the various amenities: grill, bikes, beach equipment, outdoor rinse, etc. My constructive criticisms are minor and wouldn't prohibit me from staying again: - Ice maker: it barely worked. We wanted to pack coolers for the beach or make drinks at home and it was a struggle to get any ice from it - even at max production. - Ants: it's a beach, I get it. Maybe nothing can be done about it, but they were quite the nuisance. We cleaned meticulously after meals to ensure there were no crumbs behind but they still were present throughout the residence: kitchen, couches, bathrooms. - Entry Door: would have liked a wooden pole to further restrict the sliding glass door from opening. Had a young child with us and made me nervous he could exit so easily. Again, loved the property and only trying to provide feedback to make future stays even better.

We loved our stay in this lovely cottage. It’s modern, spotlessly clean and has the best view in Hanalei. Waking up to the birds, the huge garden snails and the Geko’s were a highlight. It’s right by the pier for picture perfect sunrise and sunset.

Located in the prime spot on the bay near the pier and safe swimming/boarding/ surfing for kids, this is an absolute find. The outdoor shower and linens are absolutely great and despite its small size, the house had everything we needed and felt luxurious all around.
