You will not find a better place to stay in Frankfort! The place was beautiful - rooms were spacious and gorgeously decorated, the view was impressive, and we were very close to the distilleries. Our hosts were the best! Mark gave us great recommendations that made our first trip so much more enjoyable - from how to make the most of touring the bourbon trail to places to dine, it was a true VIP experience.

Top of the Rock was a beautiful place to stay. It had everything we needed. Unfortunately, it was too hot out and we couldn't use the firepit. The hot tub is a nice amenity. The kitchen is well stocked, the towels are nice and the beds are comfy. Mark was very quick to respond and gave great recommendations for food and drinks nearby.We are already planning our next bourbon trip, and will definitely be staying here in the future.

Top of the Rock was a wonderful vacation stay. Four of us had plenty of room. Having two full bathrooms is a must for us with 2 teen girls. Another feature we always look for is a washer and dryer which was user friendly. The view from the back porch was gorgeous. All the accommodations were as advertised and there weren't any surprises. Our host, Mark, made sure to frequently check on us. We appreciated that. The location was perfect. Every place we wanted to be at was just a few quick minutes from the house.

Property was exactly as described but even better! I had several questions prior to arrival and Mark was very responsive and helpful. The beds were comfortable, we all slept soundly. The home brought all of the local flare that we hoped to see. Very well decorated from top to bottom. The view was amazing and Mark even provided us with firewood for the evenings. Close to everything that we wanted to do and see. Looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend!!!

Top of the rock has been one of the best VRBOs we have ever stayed at. The owners are great, friendly, and helpful in every way. Its location to see all the distilleries in the area is great, within one hour of most if not all the best ones in KY. You feel like you are staying at one of the distillers privately. This was our third consecutive year staying at the Too of the Rock. We’ve been riding the organized Georgetown cycling event for several years - but after finding this beautiful home - we plan to continue as long as we’re able to ride. The Stampers are excellent hosts. The home is beautiful and well appointed. Location is close to everything. Frankfort is a beautiful capital city. Good good, good people and good times all for the taking. We will be back.

We picked this place due to the photos of the view. Pictures don't do it justice. Watch the sun come up every morning and watch the fog roll through the valley in the evening. Very convenient location. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Not only is this place comfortable and gorgeous, the owner is fabulous as well! We visited 6 distilleries over the weekend we were there (castle and key, as always is the fav). But the most special part about the weekend was Mark’s amazing collection. He was so knowledgeable and generous. I tried bourbons I never thought I’d have the opportunity to try. It was such a memorable weekend!! Also the hot tub and view is amazing!

My wife and I rent VRBO units multiple times a year from Colorado to the Carolinas to the Caribbean and I have to say I think this is in the top two of the best ones we have rented. We rented this as a base to go to Keenland for the Breeders Cup and also for a day on the Bourbon Trail. Very convenient for both. Buffalo Trace is probably 2 miles away as the crow flies and Keenland was about 35 minutes away. So a great location. The unit was, well, just awesome. It’s seemed to be very newly decorated with many items from this historic bourbon industry from barrel lids and faux guitars made of parts from a bourbon barrel to the bourbon Barrel motorcycle out back and very cool lights where they somehow worked in bourbon bottles, very unique. Inside has everything you could want from the large flat screen tv in all rooms, electric fireplace to the cool back massaging table in the gym. Outside is probably the best part, the view! This unit is on the cliff overlooking the Kentucky River and downtown Frankfort and what a view it is!! You can enjoy this view from some very comfortable chairs, the hot tub or around the Solo Stove fire pit. The view is facing east so I found myself up at sunrise every morning taking pictures and time lapse videos of the incredible sunrise. So yes, I strongly recommend this unit whether in town for a specific purpose or just to get away for the weekend.

This place is fantastic. Even better than I thought it would be. The inside is wonderful and cozy and the outside is beautiful. Perfect location to get to where we wanted to go. I packed way to much not knowing what we would need there but Mark and Jane have thought of everything. Appreciate the cold water waiting in the frig. Our only regret was that we didn't use the hot tub. Just got to relaxed sitting in the chairs outside. Hopefully next year. Can't wait to go back

This is a beautiful property - the view, the stay, the hosts’ attention to details. The digital concierge is very cool. Looks like artwork. You get closer and you can see it’s a digital resource and contact the host. We were looking for a restaurant recommendation. Interior is gorgeous! Appreciated the snacks and water. Nice touch! We loved hanging out outside just taking in the view and visiting. Not to miss!

Top of the Rock has the best view in Frankfort! We were in Kentucky doing the Bourbon Tour with our neighbors and this location was perfect for day trips to the different distilleries. I don’t even know where to begin with this review. The neighborhood is safe, houses are all beautiful, including this one. There is an expansive view overlooking Frankfort. It’s truly unbelievable. The apartment is well appointed, tastefully decorated and CLEAN! The beds are firm and comfortable. The linens are quality cotton. There is actual cable tv along with the ability to log into your own streaming services. Wi-Fi connection is as easy as putting your phone on top of a disk. Or you can go old school and put in a password. It’s quiet. The hosts are incredible! Mark and Jane know the area well and are happy to help you in any way to make your stay the experience you dreamed. Did I mention that Buffalo Trace is only about ten minutes away? Don’t miss it! Honestly, it doesn’t get any better than Top Of The Rock. Don’t let this one pass you by.
