Get hearts pumping as you make your way up the famous 199 stone steps – it's an easy twelve-minute walk from your front door to the bottom, and you'll be rewarded with magnificent harbour views once you make it to the top. Or maybe you'd prefer to take the kids to the popular Captain Cook Memorial Museum, just a ten-minute stroll away. Even the ancient Whitby Abbey is reachable on foot in twenty minutes, where you'll be able to admire the stunning Gothic architecture.
