Overall fabulous a great a location lovely owners of the property very helpful nothing to much trouble.

It was clean warm and a fabulous location.

A little more attention to detail needed with regard to cooking facilities,the cooker hob lights did not work very dark in the kitchen area,a better set of knives and forks pans not enough frying pan past its sell by date.

Idyllic farm cottage setting ideal for couples and families

Great cottage in farm setting with easy open access to farm and meadow with pretty walking and stream. Geese, peacocks and friendly dog provided lots of interest for our children.

Great property in a lovely setting, would definitely recommend and hope to stay again next year!

Quiet rural location. Good instructions on how to get there and enter the property. Spacious, well equipped, comfortable sofas, nice bedding, towels. Added bonus was the log burner, enough stuff for the 2 nights we were there. Great to have a bathroom each too.

The mattresses could have been more comfortable for our liking, but everyone is different.

Lack of welcome pack was unusual A teabag and a drop of milk at least would have been welcome .Lighting heeded to be brighter .Cutlery and crockery all a bit random and below home standards. No breadboard .

Good location and size of property. Good they have an onsite EV car charger. Despite multiple cottages you couldn’t hear the neighbours and all felt private.

Unfortunately it wasn’t possible to contact the owners despite multiple attempts via text message, phone or through the booking.com messaging app. Upon arrival one of the rooms had not been properly made up (missing pillow cases and towels). We just had to make do although this could have been rectified had the owners been available. There were lots of cobwebs as well and the sofa was incredibly uncomfortable.

Fantastic Time

Excellent facilities, very comfortable, the best self catering accommodation we have ever stayed in. Easy access to Pickering by car, and then onto other places, obviously run by very professional people who fully understand their customers.

No negatives, we thoroughly recommend the cottages.

lovely place to stay and a great location - just need better bed/mattresses

Lovely area and cottage & great to have a little garden for the dog. Great facilities and Wifi etc. Well kept grounds and gardens.

The bed/mattress was dreadful - really need to upgrade to something more modern & comfortable let the the whole place/stay down, we also had friends staying and they said their bed/mattress where terrible too. Please update them and we would return.

The cottage, location, facilities and everything else to be fair, exceeded our expectations. It all made for the perfect "recharging the batteries" break. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go back!! Excellent value!

Lovely surrounding and excellent property, shame about lack of mirror/dressing table and shower.

The location was lovely on the edge of North Yorkshire Moors. We stayed in Rose cottage. The cottages were well laid out and refurbished to a modern standard. The ducks and hens kept us entertained outside the rear garden area. The cottages now have wifi, which is essential as there is no network signal.

The lack of mirrors or dressing table was a problem as we were attending a wedding. Also there was no proper shower just a hand held shower head on the bath. Taxi's were rather expensive £25 for 3.6 mile journey.

Loved the location, lovely little cottage with a private garden and surrounding land that we could make use of. It was clean.

Would've been helpful if it had been provided with hand wash for the toilet or let us know in advance that we needed to bring some with us. The metal bedframe was also very noisy.

Our stay was very enjoyable, we visited local areas as well as sea side resorts.

Location was excellent, central to various towns, citys and seaside resorts. Facilities within the cottage were good, had everything we needed, cottage very clean. We had our dogs with us, the cottage had an enclosed area so the dogs were safe, local walks around the cottage were very handy.

We are being a bit petty really but would have liked to have wine glasses.

Very comfortable rural townhouse. Spacious with good facilities. Easy parking next to the property. Pickering is 10 min drive away with lots of restaurants and famous railway to Whitby. Local Blackbull Inn is also great.

No washing machine in the townhouse but laundry available in adjacent building and owners were helpful with this.

Great location and if you want basic accommodation then this one’s for you.

Superb location just outside Pickering with lovely walks from the door. Perfect with dogs.

The actual cottage is allocated after booking so you can’t see from the photos which cottage relates to which pictures. We were allocated primrose cottage. Description of any of the cottages states bath or shower.. you couldn’t choose and we had a bath with a shower hose that you had to hold over you so washing hair was very difficult. Also my husband is over 6ft and a bath was tricky but with no shower curtain or holder for the shower head, a shower was not an option. Description/ checklist says views but our view was just of railings and a farm entrance. Description says washing machine/dryer… but these are located in a communal laundry room.. no problem with that, apart from in the info in the cottage it says the laundry has remained closed since covid. Description says subscription tv available - this didn’t work and wifi kept dropping out so no option to watch tv/films on own devices… didn’t really bother us but worth pointing out. Bedroom very small with no plug socket for hairdryer or anything else. No shelf, hooks etc just a wardrobe. Window was small and fixed shut so not only could we not get any fresh air in but if a fire had started in the kitchen during the night we would have been trapped in the bedroom! Everything was dated and basic which is such a shame as the location is superb. I think the owners should spend a couple of nights in their own properties to experience how it is for guests. So much potential but let down by little investment.. even in some nice cutlery or not using tinfoil on all the oven shelves, which blew about when the fan oven was on! Only providing one tea towel & not even a salt and pepper pot.. not something we’d normally pack for a holiday in a cottage!
