Our 6 bedroomed stone built Farmhouse is set in a beautiful idyllic location on the outskirts of Goathland Village, famous for the TV series Heartbeat. With Moor and Goathland Station views the property has a stunning backdrop in all seasons. Private 6 person hot tub. Lots of free parking. Perfectly situated for walkers, road and Mountain bike users, Steam train enthusiasts, Bird watchers or simply those looking for a relaxing country retreat with family or friends. With the Famous seaside town and port of Whitby just 8 miles away, we truly do have the best of both worlds here, countryside and beach holidays all covered. There are weeks worth of entertainment within the area, if you are not planning a relaxing peaceful holiday. From theme parks, to forest trails, to crab fishing and meandering. There is plenty to do if your heart so desires. Strictly 14 + infant maximum occupancy. Sorry no pets. Hen/stag parties please enquire first before requesting to book. As an independent provider we advise all guests to take out their own travel/holiday insurance. If the online price calculator is confusing or not as expected please 'enquire now or ask owner a question' for explanation or a more accurate quote. On occasions check in times may vary due to enhanced cleaning regimes. A wonderful cottage situated in the middle of beautiful countryside. Michelle came to meet us when we arrived to explain the workings of a few things- very helpful. Also the cupboards were full of essentials. We'd taken things like salt ,cooking oil, washing up liquid. We needn't have bothered - everything was there for us. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. Lots of games and children's toys were provided too. We all had a great time. Can definitely recommend it.

We loved our stay, the house was perfect and in a beautiful location, it was huge making it perfect for a big gathering! Michelle was a great host too, would highly recommend! Carli

Beautifully positioned above Goathland, this cottage offers stunning daytime views and an ideal setting for stargazing at night. The property is immaculately presented, and the welcome pack was a thoughtful touch that added to the overall experience. The owner deserves high praise for the evident care and effort put into making guests feel at home. Michelle was exceptionally helpful, promptly addressing all of my questions prior to our arrival, and the departure process was seamless.Whitby is a short drive away for a more busy atmosphere and local history.

Had a fantastic family weekend stay for my sisters 50th birthday at Hawthorn Cottage. As previous reviews say the photos don’t do it justice. Everything you could want for a family break. Our party of 13 ranged from 10-74 yrs. michelle is an excellent host and communication throughout was great. About 10 min drive from Goathland village where we had a lovely meal at Mallyan Spout Hotel on Saturday afternoon. 100% recommend and would not hesitate to book again. Thanks michelle and family
