About this house rental
Plenty of space to share memories and relax. The 4 full family bathrooms - one on every floor lend themselves perfectly to extended family groupings. The large kitchen and dining room mean you can cook and eat together around one large table that can extend to seat 16. You can relax afterwards in the large living room and watch tv together or have some quality adult time while the children hang out in the Den upstairs.
Melville terrace is only a few minutes walk from Filey seafront, shops and pubs. Filey is a traditional victorian seaside resort which still has lots of independent shops, family run cafes, proper fish and chip shops and restaurants to suit every taste.
Filey Beach has won many sea side awards for clean bathing, there are lifeguard monitored sections and much of the beach is dog friendly allowing children to find space to play away from crowds of people whilst our furry friends tire themselves out on the 5 mile stretch of dog friendly golden sands .
You can head the other way along the promenade to Filey brigg which is also dog friendly and provides numerous rock pools at low tide.
There are spectacular coastal walks along the Cleveland Way both north towards Scarborough and south towards Flamborough and the Bempton Cliffs Nature Reserve, famous for its puffins and gannets.
Filey itself has its own bird garden and animal park plus the Filey Dams nature reserve. A bit further afield there is the Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery which runs tours and tasting sessions. During the summer months there are many events such as the food festivals and steam punk events as well as free weekly concerts on a Sunday afternoon on the Filey bandstand.
Scarborough and Whitby are both within easy reach for day trips or you could take a steam train journey through beautiful country side, the home of heartbeat, on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
There is plenty of free on street parking, once parked you can abandon the car as everything in Filey is only a short walk away. Beat the traffic and travel to Bridlington, Scarborough and Whitby using local bus and train services.
Tides Reach gives you plenty of options to explore the coast or simply relax at the seaside.
Please note: We only accept check-ins on Fridays in August and on Mondays or Fridays the rest of the year.
