Comfy Bed shitty service.

I got a parking ticket because my hosts didn’t pay for the “free parking” they promised (on Thursday) . They said they would pay, but didn’t before I was due to check out (Saturday morning). I paid because I was uncertain about what would happen if I didn’t “squat”. Very poor service.

It has everything you need for a short stay. The location is great, with shops nearby and about a 30-minute walk to the beach and Tynemouth town centre.

Clearer parking instructions would be helpful. The road was closed due to roadworks, and we weren’t sure where to park. We also couldn’t find the parking permit in the apartment as mentioned, but the host resolved the issue quickly once we called her. The wooden rack under the mattress was broken at the edge, which caused the mattress to slope and made it uncomfortable for my husband to sleep. Some utilities also need replacing, such as the non-stick pan and the toilet brush. I also kept finding long hairs on the bed and bathroom floor (both my husband and myself have short hairs).

Put into different inferior, lower rated accommodation to booking - told 1 hr prior to arrival

I'm afraid the host behaviour was chaotic, not acceptable and pretty much ruined the stay. She was informed 35 days prior to the stay that the booking was for my 18 year old son and girlfriend for a birthday treat. She messaged us 3 days prior saying she was cancelling - doesn't accept young teenagers. After paying for train tickets (from Lincoln) and deposit for Rileys Fish Shack, I said this was unacceptable so she decided they then COULD stay. THEN she messaged at 2.20pm on day of arrival to say she was moving them to a different apartment - at a different address (same area, different street) - the message hadn't been picked so it was chaos on arrival - they couldn't get in (as were at original apartment). Made them late for booking at Rileys Fish shack - very stressful. THE NEW APARTMENT BOOKING.COM RATING 7.6 , nowhere near as nice as the original accommodation which was rated 9.1 I've noticed other reviews where she has simply decided to put people in different accommodation ! She owns 12 properties in the area. BEWARE

Very convenient place to stay especially for NTGH visits.Would certainly stay again.

I was staying at the apartment because my husband was having an operation at North Tyneside hospital.The apartment was in the centre of North Shields with a bus to the hospital just over the road otherwise the car parking permit was very useful.It was so well and tastefully fitted out.Very well equipped.Really enjoyed my stay.

Had a little trouble with the heating but managed without asking for help which I was offered from the owner if I had any problems.

Needed a ' welcome pack' as we did not know the area, it would have been helpful for the great restaurants and bars we found, also how close the metro is and the ferry, all great things to offer but should have been shared...

Very Comfortable.

The apartment was much larger than i expected,comfortable and exceptionally clean,free parking at the rear of the property.

North Shields is a little bit run down,but looks like regeneration is taking place.My only complaint about the apartment was with the bedroom,i am a light sleeper the bed is underneath the bedroom window,im not sure if it has double glazing or not but i could hear quite a lot of noise during the night.
