Was a bit noisy in the morning as the shepherds hut backed on to a school playground, but not really a major issue.

Small but beautifully formed

Beautiful little place. Quirky, lovely decor and everything two people need for their stay. Small but beautifully formed. Easy walk to St David's centre and the coastal path. Plenty of places to eat and drink too, (only a two ring hob in the hut).

No TV but probably better that there isn't one for a relaxing stay

Lovely hut but not hidden away

Lovely hut, comfortable and plenty of room for two people. Nice finishing touches and everything you need for stay. Good location, walking distance to everything in St David’s.

The name ‘hideaway’ doesn’t accurately reflect this the location of this hut- it’s essentially in their front garden which made us pretty uncomfortable and unable to relax or do anything without feeling watched.

A gorgeous place to stay

We totally loved the Wyncliffe Hideaway. It's carefully and beautifully furnished and kitted out, and very clean and comfortable. It's small and compact but we hadn't brought lots of things with us so everything fitted. It's in a fantastic location - only a few minutes walk from the cathedral, pubs and shops, but it's down a track and next to a field so we felt in the countryside. It's also near the bus stops so we caught busses and walked along the stunning coastal paths. It felt like a snug and beautiful home - thank you!

The stay was gorgeous, relaxing and just what we both needed

The hideaway was stunning, in a brilliant location for both st David’s and White sands which is exactly what we wanted. For such a compact space the facilities were great, the bed was a great size and very comfy with additional pillows available if needed, comfy sofa, good cooking facilities and a great little bathroom. On arrival getting the keys from the lock box was very easy. The cleanliness and presentation of both the hideaway itself and the surrounding decking/grass area was spot on. The hosts were friendly and welcoming but also left us to have our own space.

It is worth noting that the location is right by the school. If you are staying during term time as we did the morning play around 8.30am can be loud. The cooking facilities are good for a compact space you have a hob and toaster which is great, however the pans available were restrictive. Having a slightly larger frying pan would have been ideal as we wanted to have a lot of our meals home cooked and at the hideaway. The WiFi connection was a little inconsistent making it very difficult to use at times.

Comfortable, cute, ideally located place to explore St David’s

Lovely little hut that is perfectly located to walk into St David’s (5mins), and the hut itself was very comfortable, with things for you to cook if you wish, and a cute little fireplace. Highly recommend for a couple looking for a base to explore the coast whilst being able to walk to the pub for dinner at the end of the day!

It was totally fine but if mobility is an issue for you then maybe just note that the bed is against the wall (so the person on the other side needs to hop over your partner to get out). Wasn’t an issue for us at all though!!

A perfect, quiet weekend.

A beautiful stay from start to finish. A wonderful property with an equally wonderful host. The property is a 5 minute walk from the centre of St David’s, with parking and enough privacy to feel secluded but not completely out in the sticks. Next time we visit, we will 100% stay here!

Just Perfect!

We have just returned from the most perfect weekend, staying at the Wyncliffe Hideaway. The shepherd's hut is absolutely beautiful, cleverly designed to optimise space/storage and furnished to a very high standard, totally exceeding our expectations. Wine, chocolate, welsh cakes and milk awaited us on arrival which was an added welcome bonus. High end toiletries in the bathroom also. Situated in a quiet location on the edge of St David's but only a short walk into the the charming city. Folder inside the hut contained a wealth of information on things to do and places to visit and host, Teresa, invited us to contact her at any time if we needed any further inspiration, or indeed anything else. Would strongly recommend this accommodation to others and we hope to return sometime in the future. Many thanks Teresa

A gorgeous hideaway in St. David’s.

What a wonderful destination. From the moment we arrived, we felt very spoilt. A complimentary bottle of wine and other welsh goodies were unexpected and well appreciated. The shepherd’s hut was beautifully presented, well appointed and extremely comfortable. Could not recommend it more highly, an absolute delight.

Great short break

Perfect for a romantic short break away. The shepherds hut is really cosy in a quiet location, yet just a short walk from the city centre. The facilities were excellent, we had everything that we needed and communication with the host, Teresa, was fantastic. We had a really great stay and would stay again!

Comfy and peaceful

Very very clean and tidy. Well thought out layout inside. For a shepherd's hut, it was pretty spacious. Comfortable bed and a nice little comfortable sofa. The bathroom was well laid out with a nice shower and plenty of hot water. Well equipped with everything you need. Felt like nothing had been skimped on. Not one thing looked tired or in need of replacing. The hut was warm due to underfloor heating with an added plus of a little log burner with supplied wood. The outside deck was a nice size. The bottle of wine and Welsh cakes/chocolates were a nice touch on arrival. Very thoughtful. Surrounds were nice and peaceful

Special accommodation in a special part of the world :)

We absolutely LOVED our stay - Teresa was super helpful the hut was AMAZING - honestly, the level of thought that has gone into it is incredible (the chocolate and Welsh cakes were a lovely surprise!). The bed was amazing, we had one of the best nights sleep we've ever had. The location is also spot on - with some of the best beaches in the UK a short walk/drive away. We will be back and recommend this to all our friends. WE LOVED IT!

We had such a lovely stay. The Shepherds Hut was delightful and Teresa was really approachable and helpful. She had left wine, welsh cakes, chocolate and milk for our arrival which was so thoughtful. Would highly recommend a break at Wyncliffe Hideaway!

Fabulous. I booked to return before I left to come home.

It felt safe and secure for a single, female traveller and it was very close to St David’s centre whilst feeling as if it was in the countryside. The accommodation was beautifully finished and everything (towels, toiletries, crockery, utensils etc) were quality products. The bed was very comfy. The car parking space was very close by and secure. The underfloor heating kept the accommodation cozy and warm. The water was always very hot and the power shower much appreciated.

The Wi-Fi dropped out every evening. After virtually no Wi-Fi on the first evening I learnt to switch the router off and on again when it went at about 6 o’clock each evening. After that it was fine. Maybe something could be done to improve this?

Perfect and quiet.

This was perfect. Quiet and tucked away in the green stuff but still so close to the centre. The hut has been cleverly designed and had everything we needed for our short break. Lovely welcoming touches. Would recommend.
